He knows this which is why he refuses to discuss it with her.

Dave is a total bitch!! He's all like 'I'm full of love and compassion for every person' but he loves a good old bitch behind people's backs. He always just sits there with Ben and listens to him bitch on and on about poor Mario, and even though Dave rarely says anything himself, he doesn't stop Ben and he laughs, which is just as bad really. And he loves a good bitch about Caoimhe - he seemed to genuinely expect her to apologise to him even though it seemed (to me) that they were just having a conversation about Dave's religious views that got a bit heated and when she didn;t beg his forgiveness he more or less declared war on her the second she left the room!! Not very Christian
