I have to do it again in 10-12 weeks at least mine have come out bawling

ToffeeAddict · 23/02/2010 22:02

AA

alannabanana · 23/02/2010 22:03

how many people were in that room with her?? my gran used to say that when giving birth leave your dignity at the door - how true for that poor woman.

nigglewiggle · 23/02/2010 22:03

It's a shame the calm and wonderful waterbirth got such a brief focus. It's not always so dramatic.

crankytwanky · 23/02/2010 22:03

To give birth I mean!

Although "Joy" will be good!

I'm going to +1 to watch the waterbirth again.

JollyPirate · 23/02/2010 22:03

Ahem ...... here's what they have to say about lifebegins.channel4.com/the-tv-series/contributors/darren/Darren

Rindercella · 23/02/2010 22:03

Hey, all of us March ladies are here!

Why didn't I see the first half so that I could have witnessed the beauty of the water birth everyone is speaking of?!

mspotatochip · 23/02/2010 22:03

I think Darren looked utterly terrified towards the end there I felt sorry for him. DP keeps pointing out to me that its not easy being the helpless onlooker.

tiredfeet · 23/02/2010 22:03

ohhh I loved seeing Lisa finally get to hold Jack, sobbed my eyes out, I liked how she didn't totally want to give baby to her boyfriend to hold because she wanted to hold him so much, I would be just like that I think . so pleased he recovered fully

JollyPirate · 23/02/2010 22:03

Arse - Darren

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/02/2010 22:04

Hmm, not too impressed by the "you are a goddess, you avoided the forceps" comment..what does that make those of us who DIDN'T avoid them?

PacificDogwood · 23/02/2010 22:05

The water birth was brilliant!

You can always watch it again on the Channel 4 player if you're keen , Rinders!

JollyPirate · 23/02/2010 22:05

No Fanjo - think that was said just for her to boost the boost she'd had by avoiding the CS despite her idiot of a partner.

poshtottie · 23/02/2010 22:05

I just text Dom to say she's been discussed on mumsnet. She said "Oh hell, tell me if its horrible"

Not too bad I said.

ChaosInCamelot · 23/02/2010 22:06

Glad lisa had her cuddle at last. Sweet baby.
Was also holding my breath over sarahs baby- he looked quite a big boy. She did well. Hope her dh is not always like that. Prob is though.

crankytwanky · 23/02/2010 22:06

Ch 4 site crashed.

Ridercella, go to ch4 +1!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/02/2010 22:06

Well, fair enough to boost her up...but probably not her wisest comment. She was a good midwife though, I had nothing like that much support (and had a similarly hard birth but with forceps and a large haemorrhage) maybe I am just jealous. {smile]

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/02/2010 22:07

even

muddler · 23/02/2010 22:07

I liked Dominique - I like that slightly eccentric over excitement, and would have loved a cheerleader at my first instead of the silent gloom from my midwives

Rindercella · 23/02/2010 22:09

Just caught it - thanks

Water birth it is for me then!

Rindercella · 23/02/2010 22:11

Can't believe that the bio of Darren says he, "plays an important role in encouraging her on, especially when she feels like giving up". Biggest load of bollocks I have ever read.

MudandRoses · 23/02/2010 22:11

i thought Domenique was brill - wish I'd had a midwife like that!!

crankytwanky · 23/02/2010 22:12

The net wasn't deployed though!
That may have taken the gloss off a touch!
