NormaSknockers · 09/02/2010 21:59

I'm worn out just watching all that! Can't get over what a nob that Steve was, idiots like him give the police a bad name - fuckwit!

angel1976 · 09/02/2010 22:00

Oh, seeing Lisa's DS just made me tear up...

anniebear · 09/02/2010 22:00

Well, tracey seemed to be the least important woman in that room

moodlum · 09/02/2010 22:00

OK, I'm sorry for calling her fat, she's a similar size to me. And sorry, but rolling your eyes when you're on the phone to someone who's phoned in to a labour ward not having a clue is not nice.

mowcop · 09/02/2010 22:01

not sure I can cope with another hour of that next week!

crankytwanky · 09/02/2010 22:02

Southampton do have a kick-ass paed team which is reassuring.

moodlum!

havoc · 09/02/2010 22:02

Watching this has made realise how straightforward my labour were.

LadyThompson · 09/02/2010 22:02

Given that all the midwives were saying how busy they were it's funny how they all seemed to be sitting on their not inconsiderable arses at the nursing station most of the time (guess it could be editing). Also they all walk as if they are having a stroll in the back garden.

PacificDogwood · 09/02/2010 22:02

Awww, that was cathartic!

tutu100 · 09/02/2010 22:03

I gave birth twice at Southampton. Got great care both times from the midwives, but the hospital itself is really depressing. The birthing unit which is upstairs to the labour ward which is where they filmed tonights episodes is slightly less depressing. But when in labour I didn't really care about the surroundings.

Although when in the early stages of labour when they put me in a bath with someone else's blood on the edge of it I was a bit .

It's weird seeing many of the midwifes who treated me.

pointydog · 09/02/2010 22:04

I don't think it showed the midwives in a good light at all

FiveGoMadInDorset · 09/02/2010 22:05

If anyone wants to know, Lisa, Will and baby are doing really well. He is georgeous.

oh good... he is sooooooo cute in that hat that's miles too big

LadyThompson · 09/02/2010 22:06

One of the reasons I watched this was because I had a consultant led, private delivery so have no experience of midwife led NHS and I was really curious, though I have no idea if this gave an accurate picture.

hester · 09/02/2010 22:07

I need a cigarette. And I don't smoke.

What a brilliant programme

YoureGorgeous · 09/02/2010 22:07

mowcop · 09/02/2010 22:07
