I think I must be the only one who isn't horrified about the son being there. Why shouldn't he be? I don't understand.

Poor Lisa, she is so brave.

orienteerer · 09/02/2010 21:36

FiveGoMad - which is the "lovely" couple from your village?

GypsyMoth · 09/02/2010 21:36

Loam surely wouldn't be there unless he wanted to be

when I had dc5 I had all other 4 dcs there too

it's quite nice!

Alambil · 09/02/2010 21:36

oh I really do feel for Lisa

Slartybartfast · 09/02/2010 21:36

the men are really useless in these situations arent they.

GibberingGinger · 09/02/2010 21:36

Why on earth is the son in there - he looks like its the last place on earth he wants to be.

And Steve. words fail me

riojaguzzler · 09/02/2010 21:37

poor lisa

steve??!!!!! i'm speechless!!!!!!

foxytocin · 09/02/2010 21:37

it doesn't bother me the son being there. maybe it is a good thing and he'll put off fatherhood for a long time.

moodlum · 09/02/2010 21:37

I remember that odd feeling of having to walk to surgery to have my cs

Oh and the shivering.

Its making me cry.

MuffinToptheMule · 09/02/2010 21:37

poor thing, her DH can't go in with her.

gaelicsheep · 09/02/2010 21:37

I was left alone for a good 20 minutes while I was pushing and the baby's head was showing! OK it'd been showing and not going anywhere for 2 hours, but I still pushed and god forbid those had been the contractions when DS came out!

Sabs1981 · 09/02/2010 21:37

poor lisa Theatre definataly bringing back memories

ShowOfHands · 09/02/2010 21:37

Oh that poor girl. I sobbed through the entire em cs. Still sobbing about it nearly 3 years later.

I'm not horrified the son is there. He could leave if he wanted.

He's 18 years old. Lots of men are fathers at that age.

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 21:37

God, I'm thinking my (now closed) maternity suite was wonderful compared to these! They look really basic.

I had a great time, tbh, just me and the midwife and an epidural. Had a nice snooze, woke up, had baby without epidural wearing off. After had cuddles, etc, baby taken off for cleaning up/apgar stuff while I went and had a shower. Was at about 2:15am though so perhaps not so busy (although I though that was busiest time)?

Meglet · 09/02/2010 21:38

oh poor Lisa. I did not like walking to theatre for my cs. Rushing in on a stretcher for my em cs was actually easier.
