has anyone watched SKINS???????????

DD1 is 'into' it, thanks to a later bedtime now on a thursday after scouts.

I sat down with her this evening to watch it, and to see what she is actually interested in.

I am stunned on the language, altho quite why I am not sure....maybe proof that I am actually getting old now.

more tho, it is actually quite scary if this is based on what real teens are like.

am now even more terrified than I was before, regarding my rapidly-getting-older daughter!!!

i havent watched this series but secretly quite liked last series.it is scary though!

psycho,you dont realise how close you are to living near someone who was in the last series of skins ! i can tell you that her photo is plastered over one of our towns buses and has been for the past three years .It is my brothers step daughter and they live near to winton

just out of interest, does your step niece attend any drama schools near here?? or, do you know how she got the part??

DD1 went for auditions for a new soap starting, just befoer xmas, and had call backs. she didn;t get any further due to inexperience but we have been advised to get her an agent, and we have no idea where to start (altho her dance teacher said she would help, she has been busy with the next dance show...held in march.....plus the cheerleading for AFCBournemouth they now do).

not now she dosent ,but she did go to big little theatre school ,but she is now 23,from big little she went on to stella mann school,then started getting adverts,then skins,she also has made a 40min horror film last year abroad somewhere.I will put the pic of her on here if i can find it then you will recognise her

ah, I know big/little. they do fab shows at the pavilion

one of my friends DD went there, altho tis tres expensive!

exactly mine are smaller.

ive recently started a night job at a local shop and am shocked at 14 year olds unable to stand up through drink ,fighting,language etc outside/near shop.mine will be sent away from age11-20 i think.

yes i know they do ,my gd is in it ,she has been in four of them so far,i really love them and go for the three nights.well ihave put two photos on ,i am sure you will recognise her

it is only expensive because you cant pay for it weekly ,you have to pay on the first day of the new term the complete total.It also costs to get some of the clothes they have to wear for the show ,although they do provide some of it.

have just shown DD1, and she said....."ooh, thats the girl from the bus poster for scissors"

she didn;t realise she was in skins tho, but she has only just got into it this season...was too young before.

I have also explained to her about your GD's going to her school and she wants to know names!!!

bit cheeky I know, but I am on [email protected] if you are ok telling me them on email I completely understand if you don;t want to say.....tis DD asking.

DD1 doesn;t, altho DD2 might, they are in different houses, which often means that they don;t mix with the other houses IYGWIM.

I know from what DD1 has said before that if someone is in a different house, they have different breaks, different luches, even different classes (ie, they only mix with one other house, and the other two mix only with each other).

tis strange actually as it is almost like two different schools at times........

DD2 is not only in a different house, but also in one of the opposing two to DD1. the school admitted that they made a mistake (they normally keep sisters in the same house), but by the time we knew, it was too late to change classes without causing fuss. we decided it wasn;t a huge problem, but when it comes to DD1 leaving the school, DD2 won;t be allowed to see her leaving assembly as it is shown only to their own house!

just asked dh and she made two films in Bulgaria,both horror films ,we havent seen them.they are not full length films ,i think they are both about40 mins long,but they dont sound very nice at all .

i think we discussed before about which house they were in and they are all different. The one who goes to blt has danced in front of the school for something or other so your dd,s may of seen that if it was the same year.

yes she is ,but isnt there at the mment she has gone to usa for 3 months and in that time is going over to vancouver to do something or other.She is beginning to get a right diva and is pissing everyone off with her attitude.She thinks my brother is her servant as well.She thinks she is a world star now and is changing ,not for the better i may add.

but i do admire her for getting all her work ,she has done this ever since she left school and another bit of info is that she used to be head girl at the school where your dd,s and my gd,s go ,so that would be about 8yrs ago,maybe 7.She really pushes herself forward to get acting jobs and adverts ,she has a wii advert on one of the cable channels and also had a skin cream aimed at teenagers last year.
