They are SO CUTE! Especially the little girl! I want my dd to be like her

OP posts:
FiveGoMadInDorset · 29/01/2009 21:40

It makes me laugh every time I see it. I think she is great.

TwoIfBySea · 29/01/2009 22:33

Oh educatingrita I can't believe some of those comments on YouTube, some people shouldn't be let out of their beds let alone on the computer.

My dts (age 7) giggle whenever this comes on. It is really funny, especially the balloon part.

Your dd is absolutely gorgeous. Who wants a bland little chocolate box kid anyway. Your dd looks like she was made to play Harriet The Spy!

hippipotamiHasLostTwoPounds · 30/01/2009 08:15

Educatingrita - we love the ad in this house and think your dd, and the boy, are brilliant!
I think your dd looks really really sweet. (she reminds me a bit of ds's best (girl) friend.
What a brilliant experience for all of you.

(and ignore the sicko comments - they are just jealous!)

Say a huge WELL DONE to your dd from us (not that she knows us from adam) and tell her we love the ad adn cheer when it comes on (and turn the sound up)

Oh, ds wants to know where he can get a watch with that tune on! I have not the heart to tell him the watch was not playing the tune...)

AnathemaDevice · 30/01/2009 08:15

They have their own Facebook fan club now, you know...

Just checking in before the school run to read all your lovely comments!

What a lovely bunch of mums- thankyou so much ; )

Will tell DD later of all the nice things youve said and how much kids are enjoying the Ad, itll make her day xx

Docbunches · 30/01/2009 08:36

Hi ER, Welcome back to the forum!

The ad is causing a buzz everywhere - one of my DS's friends (aged 13) said to my DS "you've GOT to watch the Cadbury Eyebrow Ad." and my DS replied "actually, my mum knows that girl's mum!". .

We ALL love it in our house, including DP and I prefer it to the gorilla one, which was also awesome.

paolosgirl · 30/01/2009 16:20

DS and I have just shown DD the advert on Youtube - officially our favourite ad now. The balloon squeaking bit is hilarious!

belgo · 30/01/2009 16:21

My two dds aged three and four have just been watching it on youtube, they are transfixed by it, and tryin gto get me off mumsnet so they can watch it again!

belgo · 30/01/2009 16:25

ER- your dd is very cool, what a great experience for her.

YouLukaBeautiful · 30/01/2009 16:29

Oh ER - can I tell my children that I 'know' you too?

Wonderstuff · 30/01/2009 16:45

at utube comments, your dd is VERY cool

keevamum · 30/01/2009 17:13

Educating Rita my DH works with someone who is famous and very succesful at what he does and he has been approached to do a version with him and someone else famous in replicating the commercial. I was able to inform them how it was made and perhaps it would be better to have X with your daughter instead. She is going to be a star!! If you want her to be of course!

ilovemyghds · 30/01/2009 19:28

She is very sweet.

educatingrita · 30/01/2009 19:30

OOh keeva that sounds interesting- would love to hear if this goes ahead!

DD has been approached today by a PR company attached to Fallon who is the advertising agency that made the ad (hope that makes sense)

There have been quite a few offers of tv shows and newspaper interviews but we as a family are unsure if we want to go down that route as surprisingly we are quite private people,so we are meeting with them next week to discuss what offers we will take - if any though DD really wants to do the Paul O Grady show and so I may give in on that one...

Would be really interested to hear peoples thoughts and any advice seeing as youre all so lovely!! LOL

Vulgar · 30/01/2009 19:51

Your DD looks great in the ad. My DS aged 9 loves her and he's got very good taste! well done her!

hippipotamiHasLostTwoPounds · 30/01/2009 19:59

My ds (age 9) also loves her

How did your dd get this part?

Habbibu · 30/01/2009 20:06

She's extraordinary, ER - you should be very proud. They both seem to have great natural comic ability - their expressions and movement are just brilliant. And she's gorgeous.

educatingrita · 30/01/2009 20:12

hippipotami, she has an agent who puts her up for stuff and she has done several commercials before.
TBH we just thought it would be another one like she has been in, come out, recognised by family and friends, no one else bats an eyelid and off you go!
I think even the company behind the ad have been surprised by just how much publicity its generated.

hippipotamiHasLostTwoPounds · 30/01/2009 20:13

Aw brilliant! Good for her! She is absolutely brilliant (as is the boy)

Looking forward to seeing her on Paul O' Grady (if you go down that route)
My 9 year old loves that show

educatingrita · 30/01/2009 20:18

DD is also 9 - just small for age!
The little boy is 10.

Paul O Grady is so funny isnt he! I love the show and DD wants to go purely to meet the dog

DevilsAdvocaat · 30/01/2009 20:21

dh and i also love this ad and think the kids are sooo cute

well done on the lovely offspring ER!

hippipotamiHasLostTwoPounds · 30/01/2009 20:21

The dog is definately the best thing Good old Buster....

What other ads has your dd done? (don't say if you rather not, it is just that I am sitting here trying to see if I remember her in anything else...)

Anyway, you should be very very proud, and it is an honour to 'talk' to you.

(that is not meant to sound as creepy as it came out

LOL hippi!
Well at the risk of showing off here goes...

Mc Donalds- again very weird add wearing swimwear, goggles and swim hat over clothes

Ryvita where she is Fern Brittens "thin" body as a school child

Walls Milk Time which was her only one with lines ! "Mum, why do I have to love my brother"

Rice Krispies, Woolies Christmas
I think youre more likely to have seen her in either Holby where she played Maddys niece who died after her mum gave her methadone ! LOL or My Family as a patient of Ben in his dentist

hippipotamiHasLostTwoPounds · 30/01/2009 20:44

Not showing off at all! I think it is brilliant, well done to her!
I remember the McDonalds swimmign one, and the 'mum why do I have to love my brother' one
And I remember the Holby storyline but cannot picture the girl.

Anyway, I have taken up way to much of your time.

You should be very very proud
