Where *IS* 'Brum' filmed?

I know, I know I'm probably very sad, but whenever the little yellow car is on I spend the whole programme looking for clues as to where it's filmed! Is it really Brum? or is that simply the sound he makes? Wherever it is the shops are never crowded and the whole place looks lovely!

Somebody please put me out of my misery!

Birmingham

Easy · 05/04/2005 17:24

Oh and I think they tend to shoot in very early mornings. The daylight has that early morning appearance

Lucycat · 05/04/2005 17:26

Thanks Easy! I thought as much, but wasn't sure! (honest)

Why don't they tell you!

Definitely Birmingham. I would say mainly in the city centre or just outside. On the opening scene you can clearly see the top of the building I used to work in

Please note though that Birmingham isnt filled with nutters like the ones in the programme -

Birmingham.

Mainly around Brindley Place, Centenary Square and Victoria Square, although I have also spotted The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham too, so it might not all be Birmingham.

love b.ham now that it has been all done up in town.
do you live in b.ham?

Lucycat · 05/04/2005 19:04

You really are the founts of all knowledge!

When I tell dh that there is someone on MN that knows the answer to any question on earth, he doesn't believe me - now he will have to!

I may even stray away from beautiful Manchester to visit B'ham - I've only ever been to New St station!!and that was passing through!

The Cotswold Motor Museum in Bourton on the Water houses the Brum car if you are interested!
