Meh. I was really pleased about this coming back after the cracking pilot, and I've only just found out that Andrea Riseborough isn't returning, they're making it 'less gothic and funnier' and the rather attractive fey vampire bloke has been replaced too.

serenity, or anyone who is a bit more excited about it, come and enthuse me, I want to like it, but I've got a horrible feeling they're going to make 'Two Pints: The supernatural version' instead...

i've found a 1gb flash thing is that big enough?

southeastastra · 02/02/2009 12:34

ooh just found it on youtube

quint · 02/02/2009 12:42

Didn't see the pilot of this but watched the 1st couple of episodes - we need something to fill the Buffy gap and I'm afraid Demons doesn;t do it for us. I gave up after episode 2,even DH who really wanted to like has conceded its shit!

serenity · 02/02/2009 13:02

It is, although obviously it doesn't matter now

KayHarker · 02/02/2009 14:20

Oh, Demons is painfully dire. I really wanted to love it, and I've tried sitting through it, even just for the joy of seeing Glenister in that coat, but I'm always bored after about 4 minutes.

gizmo · 02/02/2009 14:47

Wondered if I'd find you here, Kay

Rather think I might have found some Methodone for my Doctor Who withdrawal symptoms. Although DH did describe it as 'Rentaghost for grown ups.' Meh.

KayHarker · 02/02/2009 14:55

Rentaghost wasn't for grown-ups?

ProfYaffle · 03/02/2009 06:53

The bolshy ward sister was a good character but ffs, all that scratching, she looked like she was pretending to be a gibbon or something.

ladystardust · 03/02/2009 10:01

Ha! Yes! I thought she was quite cute and quirky at first but then I was shouting at the tv 'oh just stop it!' dp was rather taken with her but soon shut up after my 'she's a little over the top don't you think?'

LOVING Russell Tovey.
LOVING it all, in fact.

jeminthecity · 03/02/2009 10:05

So glad someone started this thread. Loved the pilot and loved the first 2 episodes. DH hates it and sits with a 'boring' look on his face, pointedly reading books and giving the tv the odd disdainful glance.

Yes, I thought the same about the fiance.

AnnVan · 03/02/2009 10:47

DP doesn't do tv series. I managed to watch about half the first (??) episode (the one where Owen comes round and she texts from Werewolf guy's phone to get him round. Wish I could have watched the whole thing, DP changed channels.

Libra · 03/02/2009 12:10

I'm sorry AnnVan - you were watching something that you wanted to watch, then your DP just came in and changed channels?

If he doesn't want to watch something, why didn't he go and do something else?

KayHarker · 03/02/2009 21:17

Maybe the scratching was deliberate. Maybe the ward sister is a Were-gibbon.

DebInAustria · 03/02/2009 22:02

I saw the pilot and was really disappointed that Annie and Mitchell changed. It was funnier but I don't think it#s as good.

serenity · 03/02/2009 23:00

Maybe George has fleas?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 04/02/2009 10:04

finally watched both episodes the last couple of nights (not seen the pilot yet)

think it's great. since demons was shite this filled the 'creepy tv' gap perfectly!
and DH liked it too.

ProfYaffle · 04/02/2009 14:27

Lol @ were-gibbon, I like that idea.

gizmo · 04/02/2009 17:43

Perhaps she's allergic to dogs?
