I was wondering if anyone here knew when the new series starts? I'm in need of a Winchester fix.

OP posts:
cornsilk · 06/01/2009 17:07

God yes, I've got Sam and Dean withdrawal symptoms.

annaje · 06/01/2009 19:25

Well ladies - the new series starts on 25th Jan on ITV 2 at 9pm. Roll on, I need my Jensen fix..........

themoon66 · 06/01/2009 19:28

Well that bit of news has made my week

annaje · 06/01/2009 19:47

And this series is well worth waiting for - I've seen the first half and it is fantastic.

meridian · 07/01/2009 10:24

finally some sunshine to this dismal winter!

I'm desperate for a supernatural fix... was actually considering ordering the book.. though reading about Dean and Sam is not remotely the same as drooling over watching the show.

annaje · 07/01/2009 10:28

Meridian - have you seen the 'eye of the tiger' clip on You Tube - check it out if you are a Jensen fan!

meridian · 07/01/2009 10:35

annaje- that was brilliant.. lol

Flamespar · 07/01/2009 11:00

Eye of the tiger, lederhosen, and a bipolar teddy.... this series is amazing

annaje · 07/01/2009 12:28

LOVED that teddy....and hhhhmm, the lederhosen

In order to relieve my guilt over downloading S4, I shall be watching it on ITV too (oh, the horror and the hardship) starts 25th January iirc S4 is fantastic, and Ep1 is just, well......wait and see

Saw Jensen's new film, My Bloody Valentine 3D on friday morning. Ackles in 3D is something special, pity the film itself is a bit crap (don't think you're meant to laugh through an 18 certificate horror film....)

meridian · 12/01/2009 09:49

serenity- I saw an trailer for the flick but didn't relize Jensen was in it... though I figured it would be pretty awful anyway... I do like a good laugh at a horror movie on occasion... was it worse than that one he was in a few years ago.. cant remeber the title.. but it was really crappy..

I considered downloading it but.. its just not the same on a dinky screen... you have to watch the boys on the big screen..

the last thing I watched on computer was Doctor Horrible and The Guild..

serenity · 12/01/2009 11:48

We've got one of our external harddrives linked via the router to the TV, so I still get to watch it on there

I've never sat through Devour (previous crappy horror film) I've only watched the highlights on YouTube, so I don't know if it's worse. MBVs only plus points are the 3D (which was amazing) and Jensen, who imo is a damn good actor, but can only do so much when the material's so poor.

VampiresWalkin · 12/01/2009 11:49

I am planning to do the same guilt relieving.

meridian · 12/01/2009 14:51

have just spent a sad hour watching various youtube clips of Jensen clowning around... wipes drool off keyboard

my best friend in Cali has met him a couple of times when she has been down in LA working on some very teeny independent films...

I wonder if that Hero movie of his will ever get released.. its supposed to be very good funny/quirky but not heard anything about a release date... My friend saw it at a couple of film festivals last summer but thats all I know..

serenity · 12/01/2009 16:16

Ten Inch Hero was pretty damn good I have to say. The people who organise the Supernatural 'Asylum' convention set up a private screening last year and I went with my sister to see it. It's been given a US DVD release date, so even if a UK one isn't forthcoming you will still be able to buy it from Amazon.com.

I am of your friend meridian, however Ackles is going to be at this years Asylum so I hope to abseil through his hotel window see him there

OhBling · 12/01/2009 16:23

is it watchable if you've missed the first season? I thought it looked interesting but haven't heard of it before.

serenity · 12/01/2009 16:42

First three seasons, ohbling. It's S4 starting on ITV2. You could give it a try - not sure how confusing it'll be though. They do 'previously's' before episodes that have a lot of backstory, but they have a few 'standalone' episodes too. Best thing would be to Wiki it, read up on the preceding seasons and give it a try. actually no, the best thing would be to beg, scrounge, buy or borrow the previous seasons, because they're definitely worth watching

VampiresWalkin · 12/01/2009 16:58

Speak more of this "Asylum"

OhBling · 12/01/2009 17:06

Right - doing a search on Amazon. I'd never heard of this programme until recently so unlikely to find anyone with it. But if I buy the first one, watch it and then lend it to my sister, she'll probably buy the second one!

OhBling · 12/01/2009 17:08

£24 for seasons 1 - 3 as a box set. Or £10 per season. How confident are you all that I will love this show? I generally do enjoy a good scifi/fantasy series (except I got bored of Heroes).

serenity · 12/01/2009 17:18

I told you about Asylum but it was at the meetup, so maybe not the best time....

Asylum 3

ohBling - It is a seriously good programme. Even if the two heroes were dog ugly, rather than being exceptionally pretty, it would be fantastic. Scary, funny, characters you grow to love, can't fault it at all**however, there must be some people who don't like it (weirdos), so I'll put my confidence at around 98%

VampiresWalkin · 12/01/2009 17:26

oooooooooooh it looks gooooooooooooood (you may well have told me at the meet up ). If my boy were going then I would convince DH that it would be an ideal wedding anniversary weekend away, but for that much money, I need Sam.

annaje · 12/01/2009 17:36

OOhh no - I thought this thread had died - but now I'm thinking about those boys again.........(drools at the amount of screen time Jensen gets this new series).

Must seriously consider checking up on Asylum this year!

serenity · 12/01/2009 19:40

I've got a few friends going this year so allowed myself to be talked into it when we found out the delectable Misha Collins was booked. Obviously now Jensen's going, wild horses couldn't keep me away!

Jared was booked for both 1 and 2, but cancelled at the last minute because of work commitments I have everything I own crossed that that doesn't happen with either Misha or Jensen.

VampiresWalkin · 12/01/2009 21:29

If someone were to produce a ticket for me then I'd be there like a shot Or I win money... Very
