I was wondering if anyone here knew when the new series starts? I'm in need of a Winchester fix.

Kim Manners (producer and director of Supernatural, also worked on X Files) has died of Lung Cancer.

No one (fan wise) had any inkling he was ill - he apparently was diagnosed just after they filmed 'Lazarus Rising'. I feel for his family, it's a crappy, miserable illness (my FIL struggled with it for 3 years)

RIP Kim.

I have just watched the two episodes from last night, and my oh my was it worth the wait I am so in lust with Jensen it is untrue

I have heard good things from those people who have seen the series already, I am really looking forward to watching the rest of them.

serenity- thanks again for the Refur site.. have been amusing myself reading a few of the episode reviews yesterday...when I should have been doing housework...

I don't have the box sets though I may just have to get them.. we don't tend to buy alot of boxed sets unless watching something that we missed then we rent it or sell it on again... very bad fan... though I do have a coffee mug with supernatural on it and a magazine or 2 to oggle (my friend owns a comic book/games shop with her DH)

still a bit leery of the angels and god with a capital G thing...though happy to watch and see how they can explain all the other dieties, gods, and monsters vs. all powerful angels and a possible big G.....

Very sad news about Kim Manners - he has always been with the show. Do doubt the cast and crew are devastated.

I don't see it as being a capital G god though (helps that I'm an atheist, lol) Show wise there doesn't have to be any difference between a god with an army of angels at it's control, and the Trickster (who is a demigod), the two pagan gods from A Very Supernatural Christmas, or the nasty (Dude, you fugly) fertility god from Scarecrow

Every time I'm in WHsmiths I always sneak a look at the magazine - but have yet to buy. DH gets SFX, but there has been slim pickings in there for anything SPN.

Might get the mag today - bit pricey, but the boys are worth it. Searched high and low for a calendar this year but they were gold dust.

Meant to add - has your friend interviewed the boys yet? Lucky friend .

I don't get the whole nose obsession either... but to each his or her own... I'm not exactly and atheiest.. I just choose to believe there is something out there and its dosen't have anything to do with organized religion..the god squad... though obviously the perfection of the boys does proove there there is something out there to make them so pretty!

annaje-friend saved it for me.. its good having good friends...its an old one though from months ago.... forgot all about it till I found it in a craft box(we moved in late august and things still arent quite right yet).. I dare not show DH though he might think I'm more of a looney than I already am... though next time I'm at her shop I think I may treat myself to a copy.. purely for the aspects of myth, and spiritual enlightenment of course..

None of the SFX staffers watch Supernatural, so I don't think they really have the motivation to push the show in the mag (I subscribe, and I post on their forum a fair amount, mainly about SPN surprisingly ) There is is huge article in next months issue though - behind the scenes of S4, interviews with the boys etc

TBH I only buy the SPN mag because of my friend, it's a bit....I don't know...not childish exactly, I think a lot of the filler articles are aimed a bit low? Sadly she hasn't interviewed the boys yet, but she's interviewed Misha Collins (which will be in next months issue) and she did one which is in this months, that I don't want to mention 'cos it's a guest star that doesn't turn up until E3

serenity-so the staff of a magazine dedicated to si-fi etc don't watch one of the best shows out there? that is rediculous... even if the boys weren't hot, the music wasn't great, and the car was a fiesta it would still be one of the best shows out there.

did anyone watch Roswell? nothing to do with SPN I just watched Skin Walkers last night.. ok werewolf flick.. but the Jason Behr or whatever from Roswell (lead emo alien boy) was big bad werewolf.. very hot..

Well - I've got the magazine, but have to agree on the content. There was a nice interview with the boys, but the rest was old stuff and aimed at teenagers more! Still, some nice pictures to drool over.

Meridan - I did watch Roswell - can't remember much - mostly a lot of teenage angst between hot aliens and hot teenagers.... I do remember that Jason Behr in The Grudge!
