Mankyscotslass - I've just seen Simon Pegg on Dr Who on Watch TV (dr Who day) and wondered whether he'd be in the running.

Matt Smith looks too young to be the doctor. The older doctors have always been a bit more believeable, I don't think a young actor's face would have the wrinkles character needed to play the part.

I'm hoping for someone I've only faintly heard of who turns out to be fantastic.
