Okay. I've finally realised who Paterson Joseph is and he gets my vote along with Sean Pertwee. Hell, lets have two Doctors .

The assistant should be Sally Sparrow.

They wouldn't be considering Georgia Moffat would they?

RedtartanLass · 03/01/2009 09:53

My money's on Chiwetel Ejiofor.....7.5hrs to go!!!

IllegallyBrunette · 03/01/2009 09:55

I can't decide wether to let Ds watch it or not. As far as he is concerned David Tennant is Dr Who and thats that. I have a feeling he is going to be really upset that it is now going to be someone else.

TigerFeet · 03/01/2009 09:57

The latest name in the rumour mill

I hadn't heard of Patterson Joseph but I've just GoogleImaged him and yes, he'll do rather nicely

RedtartanLass · 03/01/2009 10:01

Felt the same when Tom Baker left, I was 15 and he'd been my doctor for 7 years!!! But hey that's the fun of Dr Who!!

I'm "upset" as it is that DT is leaving.....

RedtartanLass · 03/01/2009 10:03

THE identity of the next star of Doctor Who will finally be revealed tomorrow and as far as bookmakers William Hill are concerned, the identity of the new Doctor is a foregone conclusion.

"We've now closed the book on betting as one clear favourite has emerged," said William Hill's spokesperson Rupert Adams. "Every bet we've taken in the last 24 hours has been for the actor Patteron Joseph.

For a hearing child with no impaired vision, couldn't you just make the noise? Dh does a great Tardis impersonation.

PersephoneSnape · 03/01/2009 12:24

i don't want it to be PJ because it seems like a fait accommpli now.

alan cumming plz, thank you!

haveamerrymankyscotslass · 03/01/2009 12:29

Why is Simon Pegg doing the commentary on DWC according to the Sky Guide? He hasn't done it for a while, it is Anthony Head now. A Freudian slip or am I reading too much into it?

Bomper · 03/01/2009 12:32

Watch this!! Think it's deffo him

bronze · 03/01/2009 12:48

I really don't like any of the beeb suggestions. Well not for the doctor anyway and the only one on this thread I could could cope with is Paul Bettany.

Obviously Iwouldnt turn down Rupert P~J but not for the doc

bran · 03/01/2009 13:00

Who is Matt Smith? He has the shortest odds on Betfair (which incidently still has that market open, I think the bookies have stopped taking bets). I had a look on IMDB but there are a million Matt Smiths so that wasn't much help.

Kimi · 03/01/2009 13:21

I thought it was going to be the bloke from cold feet, James Nesbit

treacletart · 03/01/2009 13:39

Whoever they choose I'm going to get a bit emotional. Dh and I will look back on David Tennant as Dr Who as a golden era in our family's life and I reckon I'll always be a little heartbroken it had to end.

KayHarker · 03/01/2009 14:02

Matt Smith. Betfair is a bit odd in terms of how it works, though, so I'm not sure it's a relaible indicator.

I really, really hope it's a mess about, because I think I'd be really quite disappointed. He just looks so... ordinary. And a bit like an emo-teen.

Tigerfeet I have just cried with laughter when I clicked on your link

KayHarker · 03/01/2009 14:13

Think I might cry, someone who claims to know the photographer who did the PR pics says it's definitely not Paterson Joseph.

DO NOT WANT emo-teen!!!

cornsilk · 03/01/2009 14:14

Mankyscotslass - I've just seen Simon Pegg on Dr Who on Watch TV (dr Who day) and wondered whether he'd be in the running.

bran · 03/01/2009 14:16

Matt Smith looks too young to be the doctor. The older doctors have always been a bit more believeable, I don't think a young actor's face would have the wrinkles character needed to play the part.

NoBiggyTurkeyHereThanks · 03/01/2009 14:23

I'm hoping for someone I've only faintly heard of who turns out to be fantastic.

KayHarker · 03/01/2009 14:27

Yes, It will be fine. Whoever it is, it will be fine. Yes, fine. It'll be fine.

Waaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! runs off sobbing
