He's at it again.... each week has the same script. He moans about the huge budget, spends half the show reminding us that 'being a trained architecht' he knows everything and paints the house white to show its nakid potential!!!

He will ofcourse state how nervous he is about the couple liking what he has done, knowing full well they will... he'll over spend and channel 4 will pay for the finishing touches and we will hear how every penny counts!

Does make me giggle. Which piece of furniture do you think he is going to get the couple to choose this week?

It is totally the same script every week.

Very annoying. I can't watch it anymore.

And I love these sorts of things normally.

themoon66 · 10/12/2008 20:25

Why does he overspend if he has whined about coping with a HUGE budget ?

(missed the beginning)

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2008 20:45

NOt sure why he over spends but every week he moans about the budget saying that its going to be tight. He wont ever comprimise on the quality of things he uses in the house though. Some times some of the cheaper things are just as good as the more expencive.

I really dont like what he has done this week. Doesnt look like a home.

i quite like the presenter, he's cute

itcameuponamidnightexpress · 10/12/2008 20:52

And how about that woman who floats about Europe telling us nothing in particular about anything much. She has got the cushiest job in television.

themoon66 · 10/12/2008 20:54

Oh god now theyre all weeping.

It looks like a showroom... not comfy

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2008 20:54

lol the budget was £47,000. Presenter is hot but it does get annoying..... he really deosnt want you to forget that he is a qualified architecht. I wouldnt mind that womans job. Nice places to visit..............oh god the guy is crying again.

The upstairs doesnt match the downstairs

OP posts:
AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 10/12/2008 20:57

Didn't the couple say on camera a few minutes ago that they didn't want lots of white ??

err, there is lots of white.

themoon66 · 10/12/2008 20:58

LOL at saying he took a risk with the bedroom by painting it white!!!

He paints everything white.

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2008 20:59

the upstairs is totally understated though.... it is compleetly out of place with the way the down stairs has been done. Notice they didnt show you the bathroom either. I bet he left it the same.

I so want that woman's job! She didn't even go into the houses in Morocco. She went all the way there to fiom about three mintues of television.

LoolaBoys · 10/12/2008 21:02

I don't like those ridicluously expensive doors, it looks like you've got a big hole in your wall when they are open.

That women is very annoying shoeing us all the things in Europe and wherever, that would look shite in cold Britain.

Also the ultra modern furniture doesn't realy make it a home for life. It will look so dated soon

itcameuponamidnightexpress · 10/12/2008 21:06

I think that he does the layout stuff quite well, but not the decor which always seems to be a bit rubbish. A couple of weeks ago when he knocked the wall out in a kitchen for that couple with all their grown-up children living with them (hello? THROW THEM OUT), he put enormous sofas in the living room that you could just see they'd be tripping over all the time. And last week he bought that Eames recliner and stuck it in the doorway of the bedroom.

He may be a trained architext, but he's not really an interior designer.

pointydog · 10/12/2008 21:21

lol - I've just been grumbling about him to dd1 who loves this prog for some reason. He's always so nervoius they won't like it (let me put you out your misery - they always like it). And it's always 'oo, look at me, you've got me at it now'. Big jessie. Stop crying about an extension and a few items of furniture.

That dining 'space' looked so darned uncomfortable. No one's going to be sitting chatting around that all night. A hard wooden bench wth no back. I ask yer.

pointydog · 10/12/2008 21:23

And all that tosh about furniture showing your personality.

No. It shows how much a} cash b}time c}interest in furniture you have. It does not, in fact, reflect your personality one iota.

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2008 21:35

Totally agree he knows about the layout stuff.... but he doesnt have a clue about interior design.

prediction for next week:

*Will get all cushdy with family and read their kids a bed time story
*will be nervous about how the budget is going to fulfill their wishes
mention he is a trained architecht
paint house white
to show its 'nakid potential'
*mention he is a trained architecht
*moan about the budget
*mention he is a trained architecht
*get them to pick a piece of furniture and he will nearly guess what they were going to choose.
*mention he is a trained architecht
*worry about the budget and how he is making every penny count.
*mention he is a trained architecht
*pick awful furniture
*show family their home
*cry
