I didn't hear him say it, although I don't doubt that he did. It's the only explanation for him having been so unpleasant throughout.
But then , the editors are hardly likely to show that bit. The whole show is edited to manipulate the audience into liking/disliking who they want. Look at Mike Read a few years back. He was apparently really high-profile in the camp, but barely made it onto our screens at all.
And remember that we can't vote anyone OFF, we can only make a positive vote for who we want to stay. Otherwise, I might have picked up the phone to help get shot of him (DVD). It bugs me that he must be thinking he's popular. Well, in a way I s'pose he is, but not for the reasons he reckons.
