I agree. I think the underlying idea of the whole thing was about making the girls value themselves so that they don't go looking for that validation elsewhere, but this was just taking it to an uncomfortable extreme which could cause all sorts of other problems for those poor girls. I agree that making children feel valued and increasing their self esteem is vital, but it doesn't just have to come from the father... those 'blessings', ugh!
