How come he has a US accent -none of the rest of his family do? I presumed he'd moved there as a child but siblings don't have the accent do they?

My accent gets very broad when I talk to my frineds from back home.

He was about 8 when he moved -- if you move before 10 you normally pick up the accent of where you move to, IIRC.

It's a bit cod science though. The little girl who dropped her toy of a cliff was destined to become a lesbian? That child was under 2, I would say. What child of that age doesn't watch things fall over/knock things down deliberately to see what happens.

he's quite open about the American accent being his stage accent. He says that's part of the 'package' people buy into with him. I haven't read the biography, oh no.

i've seen him say that he feels like a big fat queenie fraud speaking to a jock in a yank accent, and he can't do it.

There is a fair bit of cod science in it - the twins example was a sample of one - didn't prove anything. Some of it's quite interesting though.

And were there any other biological reasons?

The older brother thing was due to the mother building up an increased immunity (to testosterone?) with each male pregnancy.
