NYD is def Max's wedding, there is an invitation on his table saying "you are cordially invited to the marriage of Max Branning to...." and he's on the phone to The Bride and says "yes of course I'm excited, getting married to you".

Interesting the invitation says 'the marriage of'. Normally it would say 'wedding'.

I can't see it being anyone other than Cindy on NYD. In which case it could be a confirmation of vows which is being seen as a 'wedding' because this one went so wrong. Looks like the next one does too😆

Cindy should bin him off with all these weddings going wrong ! 😑 😆

To be fair she is a wrong un too! Which is why it isn't believable she didn't sense something was very wrong on the wedding day. They are two peas in a pod, she must know what he's likely to be up to.

True, but Cindy has never been cheated on. She should be able to suss out that max is messing her around , but she seems to be determined to carry on.
Not sure what she’s up to!

She can spot cheaters, she called out Lauren, but her ego refuses to allow her to admit it might happen to her.

She did suss out Lauren didn’t she! Yet Max has a meeting in the library with two stressed looking women and she was like ‘ oh ok ‘ 👍 even though one is obviously pregnant and the other one a mum of his child. Most would be a bit ‘ hmm 🤔’ but not cinders

Cindy could be blinded, all this "i tamed Max Branning" she's deluded by her ego.
I like Max, he is a rogue, possibly predictable but he is a good soap character, he brings comical drama, he isn't violent, he doesn't really want to hurt people. He is exactly what I want when I watch a soap, and he is played by someone who can act, which is a bonus.
The Branning wedding almost brought back a nostalgic good old fashioned feeling, it was spoilt by the added in bits and bobs from elsewhere, it made it feel disjointed.
I have said it for the last year but I really like the Brannings and their exteded family, they all work well together and are watchable. This could possibly be ruined by Oscar leaving

I’ve always liked Max as he is well played and when it’s ridiculous, Jake wood makes it look believable.
I did think Cindy would end up with George again, but he isn’t around much and becoming a bit part.

I’ve just seen a photo of Penny and Vinny with the baby so she doesn’t die in childbirth, which seemed to be a theory, which led to the baby being in Jack’s care at NY.

Max hurts people emotionally rather than with fists.
Stacey, he messed her about for ages.
A secret wife , broke Tanya’s heart many a time.
Not to mention Bradley. Abi died because of his actions
He really is bad news really , best left alone.

I never like Max very much but I have really enjoyed him this time round. Jake Wood makes him funny and also tragically believable.

I do agree that Cindy's ego makes her think he wouldn't cheat. But as you say 80s, that scene in the library was ridiculous. What good reason would Max have to go to a private room with those two on his wedding day!

Does it all come down to whether they’ve signed the papers with witnesses etc.. we didn’t see that happen nor was it mentioned. He’s likely been carted off in an ambulance now, so Cindy could find out the truth and then papers wouldn’t be signed and they wouldn’t be married leaving Max free to marry whoever falls in love with him by NYD.

Don’t they sign after they say ‘ I do ‘ ? You do in a church wedding.

Yes you generally sign straight afterwards. There doesn't seem any reason they wouldn't have signed, Cindy would be all over that and would have chased him down to remind him.

The Truman’s and Foxes can pop in for a visit too after seeing Denise.

Am gutted that Oscar is leaving. His acting is so good in Eastenders. I hope they don’t kill him off and he comes back soon.

I'm somewhat confused by the pictures I've seen of Penny and Vinny proudly posing with the baby. Penny is apparently guilt stricken as the baby is clearly Harry's but Vinny does not realise..

I bet Suki realizes pretty quickly.
I read that someone over hears her saying that she’s not going to tell Vinny anything. Don’t know who she tells, but Oscar knows about it. I bet ( but no idea) it’s Suki that hears this.

The baby being clearly white whilst vinnie parades it around would be a funny storyline tbh

Might be seen as insensitive by the beeb though

I like Oscar , he is witty and a real character
Shame if he goes , maybe they can get him to stay on?
Or might already be planning his exit :(

Suki and Nicola both have suspicions don’t they. The fake dna put Nicola off, but Suki isn’t one to be fooled and one look at the new born and she’ll guess.
It’ll be a tough one to brazen out whatever she decides.

In the picture I saw the baby is very clearly white but it seems the Panesar's do not question it* as they organise a baby naming ceremony. The spoiler I read said someone overhears Penny discussing the baby's paternity with Lauren and starts blackmailing her.

*I did write upthread about an Asian friend who had a white baby with her Irish husband so it's possible. But I can't believe Suki wouldn't smell a rat when presented with a baby who literally looks nothing like Vinny, especially as she has never liked Penny.
