Off the back of Heated Rivalry (my all encompassing obsession) is anyone giving this college based romance story involving a hockey player (based on books by Elle Kennedy) a go? It drops today.

Anyone watching? I’m 4 episodes in, Ella Bright is very good and the chemistry between her and Belmont Carmeli is there.

I’m watching it and really enjoying it so far.

I can’t believe Ella Bright was taking her A levels at a school in London this time last year! Apparently filming for Series 2 is about to start.

I can’t see Darrell Rivers in a rom com. She’s not allowed to kiss boys.

She has steamy scenes but no nudity, the main issue is that she is almost 10 years younger IRL than her co-star.

What age would you say it’s for? 14+?

@nothingcangowrongnow, I think it’s 15 on Amazon. The other characters have more nudity and there are adult storylines, it’s based on MF romance books.

Can someone explain why a woman of my age has been captured by this show? Am I longing for my misspent youth? Or something else? I find it a bit unsettling. I shall just try and enjoy it.

You’re not the only 1, im on a re-watch, am following the cast on IG and have various threads, TikTok’s on the go. As I said on the Heated Rivalry chat (it’s not as good as Heated Rivalry) Belmont Cameli has hit 1 million followers on Instagram this afternoon and the show is 1 number globally on Amazon Prime. I will probably read the books too.

Just finished this, I really enjoyed it, hopefully more seasons as I see it's based on some books and there are other interesting characters in it.

@RedRiverShore6, yes they start filming season 2 next week - possibly featuring the Dean and Allie storyline - which leaves Logan and then Tucker for seasons 3 and 4. I’ve watched it several times, I’m not ready to move on!

Thanks, that's good. I hadn't really seen it advertised at all, I saw it was no. 1 series on Prime so checked it out on IMDb.

@Slimtoddy I am 51 and love this show, I do feel far to old to be watching it, also thought Summer I Turned Pretty was fantastic!

What are we like? Off to look for summer I turned pretty now. Dawson's Creek has a similar pull on me back in the day. Pride and Prejudice another similar vibe.

Belmont has increased his insta following from 1 to 2 million in less than 5 days, this show has a crazy following around the world.

It looks like Logan may be the one featured in S2. I'm halfway through S1 and like his character (at least so far).

Prime has updated that OC has had 36 million viewers in 12 days! I definitely count in those figures.

I'm totally obsessed. It's basically a female fantasy of what a university experience could be like. So it's very idealised but I'm enjoying it so much despite that awareness. It makes me feel hopeful for younger generations. Very positive that a show can be entertaining and gripping and enjoyable and slightly edgy at times without wallowing in the worst of human behaviour. It models positive behaviour for young men. The fact that Belmont is now 28 makes me feel slightly better about perving over him as I'm not quite ten years older than him 😂

There's another four books, that are set after those four leave Briar, one of them is Hunter Davenport and another is Dean's sister, Summer so I guess they'll go through them too as Hunter already in it and Summer's been mentioned! So maybe more than 4 series...

It's now been confirmed by multiple sources that S2 will feature Dean and Allie.
