I guess everyone has different taste! I think he's just gorgeous.

I didn't find the lead that good looking but he did grow on me - great character.

I just finished it and found it so entertaining and enjoyable.

Compared to the films and TV I grew up with it all seems very sweetly gentle and consensual. Lots of sex, but they all seem very keen.

Yeah, there is something wrong with that, you're right. It's not an ethically perfect story or supposed to be a perfect relationship. There's no narrative without conflict after all. And although it's true that Hannah shouldn't have to be available at all times to calm him down, in a way he's expressing his need for emotional support in a way men often don't do. Of course this shouldn't all be on his partner but that is addressed in the story, she encourages him to open up to and rely on his friends more and he does in the end. He also is not angry with her when she doesn't show up at the game, he was worried which is understandable because they had agreed to see eachother at the game.
Belmont says that the only bit of the script/story he wasn't on board with was when Garrett says "That's what I have you for!" (For telling about his problems.)
