I hadn't realised there was a third series of this Irish crime drama.

Cant find link to old threads but I can remember them being quite active.

I think from looking at iPlayer all episodes available online?

I am a bit sad that no one else is watching this!

I remember the other series geting some interest.

But also for me who gets a bit lost in complicated plot lines, it helps that there is nearly always someone who has watched and understood to explain it to me.

And apart from the plot why do they all dislike Liam? He is unlikeable but there is obviously a back story I have forgotten.

I’m watching!

Knew nothing about this at all until a couple of days ago when I glimpsed a list of unmissable TV in maybe The Times or Guardian. I’m now on S3, Ep1 … 🙄 Taking a break to listen to some news and glance at the sunshine outside.

Astonishing how compelling it is given there’s no ‘sad detective home life’, no ‘simmering sexual tension’ and a variable level of acting skill. 🤷‍♀️

Yes it is really engaging, and get lost in the story lines in the plot.

So maybe when you get to the end of series 3 you can explain it to me. Blush

Was there something in series 1 or 2 that explains why none of his colleagues like Liam?

Oh, no - Liam is new! And clearly happy to clamber over his colleagues to reach any prize going. (No spoiler, only halfway through 1st ep of S3.)

Thanks - I just assumed it was me never remembering characters let alone their names.

It’s on my planner. I think I enjoyed 1&2 but got confused at end

This season is less absorbing so far - much more standard fare. Halfway through ep3 and … I dunno, it seems over-produced. Cramming too much in, none of it particularly compelling. Pretty much only watching now for Nora’s evolving wardrobe!

IwantToRetire · 01/04/2026 17:44

I rewatched the last episode of series 3, and am still confused!

Really enjoyed S1 & 2. Just about to start watching S3.

Second half of the series picked up a bit! But it was still far too long.

ImportantMermaid · 09/04/2026 10:49

We just finished this last night - another vote for ‘surprisingly engrossing for what essentially live accountancy’.

Nora’s easily the best thing in it, some of the dialogue was a bit wooden, and you could see where it was going from episode 4, but I’d happily watch another series. I also enjoyed the focus on the investigation rather than the detectives’ tormented emotional hinterlands although I bet Nora is married to an absolute ride of a man.

I saw a trailer where someone said something like 'there's always a paper trail'. I had not heard that expression for years, basically because the trail stopped being paper rather a long time ago and the expression dropped out of use.

Started to watch series 1 in preparation for this but realised we'd had a go when it first aired and gave up.
Just couldn't follow and also found it rather dull.
So guessing will have to give series 3 a miss.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 16/04/2026 23:09

Ooh, just finished watching the last episode. Lots of loose ends to justify another series.

Rictasmorticia · 17/04/2026 21:56

Brilliant ending, I really enjoyed it
