Bloody hell! I did not see that coming! Well done her. And a big fuck you to the blokes who dismissed her during the competition.

littlbrowndog · Yesterday 21:58

Wow Nikita. You showed them guys who sidelined you 🍸🍸

PotterHead1985 · Yesterday 21:58

For all I couldn't stand her on mc and at the beginning of this i am actually thrilled for her. She beat out all the boys and all the Michelin stars

It'd be great if Nikita got it especially after the way the guys sidelined her

And because she wasn’t even due to be cooking it

murasaki · Yesterday 21:59

Brilliant for Nikita

littlbrowndog · Yesterday 21:59

I really disliked her in masterchef the professionals but here she has shone.

congrats Nikita

Cookingdoesntgettougher · Yesterday 22:00

Sunbird24 · Yesterday 22:00

Well that was a good end to the series.
You’re all my champion of champions, who knew pickled onion monster munch would end up being such a thing!

Fransgran · Yesterday 22:02

See you on MC if you watch.

PotterHead1985 · Yesterday 22:03

Nikita is a worthy champion. I do recall some of the early dislike of her on here and it was obvious that some, though not all, of the competing blokes overlooked her.

Spencer was spot on though when he gave her a 10 and waxed lyrical about her fish course - man knows his stuff!

Fransgran · Today 11:20

For anyone who didn't see it, Nikita was on Saturday Kitchen this morning cooking her fish dish. She was lovely. Matt Tebbett congratulated her on battling through the testosterone fuelled atmosphere on GBM and she confirmed it was daunting but that Andi had been enormously supportive. She talked about the restaurant she's opening with her mother and sister and they all warned her that she'd be cooking her prize winning dish "for the next ten years." Everyone loved the fish.

Well done Nikita, that halibut dish was sublime, the Harry Potter theme was great. The Full Monty mains was excellent, the diners really appreciated it.

Just caught up on the dessert final and the banquet.
Yay, Nikita! Thought Corin was a sod, wafting ash all over her chocolate and only grudgingly apologising.
Today's Times said that "The stress of the final left [Nikita] in A&E the next day, followed by ten days in hospital"!
Goes on to say "She put her victory down to adrenaline 'and sheer willpower - I just managed to power through'. She said: 'I had also practiced so much with my mum and my sister in our kitchen at home, by the final, it was basically just muscle memory'."
They don't really keep you in hospital for stress for 10 days so she must have been quite ill.
I didn't take to her setting the tests on Professional MC but I was really right behind her on this and so pleased she won Champion of Champions.
It was awful organisation though - who thought that was a good place to cook?
I presume Corin must have stepped down at the last minute so they couldn't organise someone to do canapés.

LaMarschallin · Today 17:33

Although, just noticed that the Times said Cal had dropped out for personal reasons, not Corin; presumably got mixed up by him declining to participate in the dessert heat.
So goodness knows how accurate the rest is 🙄
