Oooo, I haven't had Monster Munch in any flavour for years, let alone the elite flavour, pickled onion. I'm very jealous. I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner. A Chinese takeaway is currently top contender.

I'm all caught up, and having persevered so long, I'll be here for the banquet. I won't lie, I'm hoping for drama, either from the chefs or possibly from quarelling neighbours, gorse fires or civil unrest round at Potters. My neighbours currently have a garden full of people (in shorts forsooth!) talking loudly and barbecuing. The air is heavy with grease fumes and incinerating sausages. I love it when we have a couple of days of sunshine (still cold though) and people completely lose the run of themselves.

I went with chips, chicken nuggets, battered sausage and curry sauce. Took me about an hour going through everyone's menu to make up my mind!

Oh id say the more warm weather the crazier things will get round these parts!!!!

Evening all. Wonder what the drama is

OP posts:
Sunbird24 · Yesterday 21:01

Right then. This drama better be dramatic! (But not dangerous)

Fransgran · Yesterday 21:01

It's all very portentous. Guys, you're cooking food, not going over the top at the Somme

Agree. A the series has been lackluster and then b the poxy episode is on at 9

No Corrin!

Fransgran · Yesterday 21:02

Nikita!

LittleBanana · Yesterday 21:03

Oh I feel really sorry for Corrin! But happy for Nikita - she is brilliant. Wonder who will do canapés now?

Fransgran · Yesterday 21:03

Did she nobble him??? Only joking!

Sunbird24 · Yesterday 21:04

Oh. Well that’s not very dramatic.
Im sure we’ve had a time someone dropped out proper last minute and the other chefs just had to crack on and make their dish without them

Came to say the same. Who has the canapés

OP posts:
Fransgran · Yesterday 21:04

Andi is only popping en route to the Doctor Zhivago reboot series

Sunbird24 · Yesterday 21:04

Why do they choose such awkward locations?.

PotterHead1985 · Yesterday 21:05

Oh. Different for the canapés.

Why do they always end up with a wanker of a kitchen and dining room

OP posts:
LittleBanana · Yesterday 21:05

I'd be disappointed if I went to the banquet and just got popcorn instead of canapés. Even Lawrence could have done better than that

Cookingdoesntgettougher · Yesterday 21:06

will follow here. Good to hear about Nikita. Also read in the paper about the manufactured drama of not being able to cook on the same floor as the dining and not being able to barbecue both because of listed building.

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · Yesterday 21:07

Did he disappear up his own arse? Sorry - I hope it was nothing properly bad. But glad for her.

No deep frying in the kitchen? Wtf?? Choose locations which can host an actual banquet, fgs.

Popcorn as the canapé? They had a month's notice, could they not have done something a little more exciting?

Fransgran · Yesterday 21:07

It's like old series of Masterchef where they made them cook in tents and then trundle the food on tea trolleys to the diners

ExtraOnions · Yesterday 21:08

I’m guessing the recording was at the same time Corrins restaurant got a 1 star food hygiene rating .. it was about raw fish. I’m sure there was nothing “wrong”, but you can see why he dropped out

A bit cynical but I bet you're right!

Sunbird24 · Yesterday 21:10

How does the full Monty dish work if they only get one bun per person?
