I think if I was a chef doing the GBM fish course I'd avoid shellfish because I wouldn't want to cook a separate dish for Tom.

I'm eating a bag of dulse. Love it but will be picking it out of my teeth for hours

Add in the burnt crunchy bits for a properly balanced meal....

Hope you managed to find a suitable "life bra" soon.

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 21/04/2026 19:21

That looks like a canapé!

Fransgran · 21/04/2026 19:21

I've never had chawanamushi. Feel hopelessly provincial

Fransgran · 21/04/2026 19:23

And I can't spell it!

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 21/04/2026 19:23

Oh dear. I'm rooting for him to not fuck it up. A nice middling score would be a huge improvement.

Fransgran · 21/04/2026 19:28

Poor Lawrence!

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 21/04/2026 19:30

Rosie? Is he making a pair of pants from m&s??

LaMarschallin · 21/04/2026 19:32

Have they had a job-lot of pumpkins?
Wonder if they'll appear in Masterchef too...

PotterHead1985 · 21/04/2026 19:32

I feel sick now! Someone should have taken that egg off me halfway through!

It strikes me that the film references are so loose, they could cook anything and make a tenuous connection. "I'm cooking venison three ways because I saw Bambi in a cinema in (insert relevent area of the country)"

Eyes bigger than your belly?

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 21/04/2026 19:39

Ahh. I'm glad it's gone so well for her. She does seem to be somewhat excluded from the bromances going on, and potentially a bit intimidated by the Michelin stars knocking around.....

Ooooo, those scallops look amazing! Again. My uncle used to farm them (and lobsters) in Shetland. The waters up there are amazing for shellfish.

Edited for fat finger typing.

PotterHead1985 · 21/04/2026 19:42

What was the fillum again?
