Just finished it. Anyone else feel ill at ease with the adoption storyline?

Watched it all today. Last episode was so weird.

I have watched it- not sure why I still do but the scenery is beautiful.

There always has to be an issue for Jack and Mel. I actually can’t remember if they are unable to have children. The whole season was set over less than a month.

Do they think we'll stop watching if they actually have a child? I agree last episode was very weird. Season 8 is not coming until 2027.

I love it, I felt really treated this last week with a new series of Virgin River and Heartland. Don’t want to say much to give people chance to watch

I'm only a few episodes in, and the acting seems even worse than before.
I know it's a particular style of 'made for tv' but I dont think im interested enough to watch anymore.

Aw I wondered if a thread would be started. I finished it today, there's always so much drama and cliffhangers in the final episode! Also what's with all the steamy sex scenes this season 🤔
It's still cheesy but I love it, Hope cracks me up with the bluntness.

I have been watching it but this series is pretty dire I think. It's gone downhill since the first series with the whole drug cartel up in the woods story line. That was exciting.

The Charmaine story line in this one was so odd. She was missing, thought to be on the run with two small children & no one really cared or batted an eyelid except Brie and her policeman ex??

And Mel & Jack are so dull & annoying now & way too sickly with each other.

And way too many steamy sex scenes!

And what happened to Doc's eye condition? And Hope's brain thing?

It’s defo gone downhill , so cheesy now and the acting is awful , but I just can’t stop watching it 🤣

I’ve finished this- so much annoyed me, yet I still binged through it.

All the PDAs and sex scenes give me the ick, probably only Jack’s sister- whose name I can’t remember without looking it up- and Brady with any decent chemistry and look how that’s been left hanging…
The honeymoon episode- just why? Are we guessing Mel might be naturally pregnant from all the magical Mexico fairy pool DTD sessions and the weird swingers vibes blessing of the random couple they ended up having dinner with?

Founder’s day was like a French and Saunders sketch.

The adoption story was weird and uncomfortable as Mel decided to keep a patient’s baby and end up delivering the actual baby. Of course there’s complications, but of course Jack gets handed the baby without any further admin and yet it was Mel who was questioned by the ambulance driver about who she was- utterly ridiculous🤣.

How the heck did Jack build that house by himself- including the interior fittings- in just a few episodes? Why were they so sentimental about leaving the cabin- hadn’t Mel and later Jack, only lived there for the duration of Charmaine’s 15 or 16 months long pregnancy?

Yet still I’d like to live in VR, eat at Jack’s bar and hang with the knitting circle from time to time…

I am really struggling with Mel's dodgy hair colour. Is it a wig or a bad dye job? I've never seen that colour and it's a totally different shade from earlier seasons.

I think Mike and Brady look too similar. When the love triangle story first started last season I used to get them mixed up.

I am enjoying it though, I still like Mel and Jack.

I can’t get past the timelines. They reminisce about things that happened in season 1 like it was 20 years ago but they actually happened less than 2 years ago if my calculations are correct, going by the age of Charmaine’s twins.

Hope and her kissing are just awkward.
My DC has been watching smallville and pointed out the actress - I would never have picked it
i still watch it but it can be a bit slow ..

I was watching it and thinking theres something different about her and im sure its her lips, some scenes they looked massive and others they looked more normal?

Absolutely! I saw exactly what you did - some scenes she’d had them done and done not, they were all jumbled up.

Yes!! I thought i was seeing things. They were big then normal in the same episodes, 😆 🤣.

The first episode of the new season i wad thinking there was something weird about her, then as it went on she looked the same as the older seasons, then she looked weird again and so on.

Yes! I also noticed they were larger and looked odd then thought I had imagined it!

Must be the odd sequence of filming.

I used to really enjoy this but it’s so boring now, it’s become background noise for me now.

Yes, she’s had some subtle work done I think but I can’t work out what.

The honeymoon scenes, I just don’t get it. At all.

the antidepressants worked super fast on Lizzie.

Charmaine had around 3 lines the entire season. I take it that’s because she’s filming Sullivans Crossing which is exactly the same, just some different cast members.

General acting awful.

Scenery 10/10 as usual.

Will I watch season 8. Of course!

The forest fire scenes were particularly painful

Ham acting, but I really love it. Sulivans crossing too, its my chill out telly. Chad Michael murry is getting on eh? I remember when I was a teenager and thought he was hot 😆 🤣.

He seems to be in quite a lot of the hallmark/channel 5/ Netflix Christmas movies.

Still...he did look rather dashing when he was chopping the logs with his top off! 🥵

I was left bewildered by how swiftly poor Doc who had done nothing wrong but was just being sensible was thrown out his own house!

I stopped watching a while back scenery’s beautiful but the actings terrible.

It’s awful. The acting , dodgy scripts and timeline. Mel and Jack are so cringe . Brie is great. Every year I watch with a mix of joy and shame . It’s terrible . I love it …

Brady and Brie are hot, Mel and Jack are not.
If Brady has died coming off his motorbike I won't be watching any more, I was only watching to see him and Brie get together 😆
Mels lips were another nail in the coffin for me.

I've struggled this season, all the kissing/slurping between Doc and Hope was extremely off putting, and as for the honeymoon stuff between Jack and Mel - ugh. As for the adoption stuff, and medical emergency - just why? It's now bordering on too sugar coated for me, I am diabetic and this can't be good for me. It's sad that it's going down this road, I really enjoyed it at the beginning.
