As promised on the TMS thread, here is the Brits thread, to discuss the ceremony as it unfolds. Hosted again by Jack Whitehall.

It's a long one, folks.

And for those who don't live here, it's in Manchester (and they have been making a big deal of this), at the Co-op Arena . Harry Styles is performing (he's a Co-op Arena shareholder )

Other performers include SOMBR and RAYE- and others who use a lot of capital letters.

So- join me, to discuss the dodgy outfits, iffy singing, and reminisce about 'back in the day' .

The Nominees

I am a Robbie fan, and although he is up there breaking his balls, Yungblood should have had this honour tonight

The band were epic. Robbie not so much.

I thought they'd chosen him because he'd really go for it performance wise, but it's all very sedate 🫤

I'm liking Robbie too. Was worried he'd make it all about him but he kept a relatively low profile.

Remember how Chris Martin murdered George Michael in his tribute.

part of the act. He must have seen him coming and didn't flinch. As others say, he has a song called Homewrecker, so it was just a stunt. And probably a homage to Jarvis! 😂

Robbie is a safe pair of hands who won't say anything controversial... Snooze.

Perhaps he wasn’t available. And he took a lot of online criticism after his previous tribute. Dom does like to prioritise his mental health.

Have to agree. I have just caught up to this bit. Hate to bodyshame or comment on anyone, but OMG! Kelly looks sooooooooo ill. So thin and bony. Is it the weight loss injections?

Love that they brought Dolly up for Ozzy. Sharon speaking was class. I love the Osbournes. Kelly seems lost. Bless them.

I reckon Robbie was pretty decent there. He'll have a sore throat tomorrow though.

I know her and Sharon had been on ozempic but Kelly looks seriously unwell. I do hope she is getting professional help. Grief does terrible things but I hope she is not still being prescribed WLI as well

Although Robbie didn't do a bad job, it was obvious how much effort it was taking him to sing it, not like how easy it came to Ozzy. Zakk would have been a better fit for vocals given he was on stage.

Yes, a bit of everything. Of course, the WLI are fine for some, if they're used properly, but when someone is already slim and they keep using them, that's very unwise. Maybe grief too, and plastic surgery possibly. But yes, she has gone too far. Conversely Sharon looked better than I've seen her look for several years.

I didn’t watch it but wanted to hear the tribute they gave to Mike Peters from the alarm who died last year. If anyone can give me a rough idea of when this happened so I don’t have to sit through the whole thing, I’d be grateful.
