It’s sort of cemented my opinion of him. I really do not know how his wife puts up with him and Adam Peaty looks like a bit of a hanger on.

I haven't seen it, is it any good? Everyone always seem to say what a lovely bloke he is in real life.

Scenty · 18/02/2026 16:04

I have only flicked through it, he does seem like a decent person. But very hard work

I might check it out.

Gnomer · 18/02/2026 16:25

1 minute in and he's dressed his kid up as bob the builder to go see the new restaurant - and then not taken him. What was the point of that?

blubberball · 19/02/2026 09:46

I've watched a few episodes. I really can't relate to that mind set. To have all that money and everything he has, and he still wants to expand more. When is enough enough? When is the time to just enjoy raising his family and enjoy the money he's made?

Can't relate to charging $35,000 a seat to sit in the F1 pitstop restaurant.

I didn't know his brother was an addict. Just goes to show how powerful addiction is. He has all that money and all those resources, and still can't help his brother to break drug addiction.

blubberball · 19/02/2026 09:54

To be fair, his kids all seem nice. I think some of them are in the marines, and police, and the daughter going to culinary school. They seem to have their heads screwed on

blubberball · 19/02/2026 10:00

Also, it did feel more real than other reality documentary type things. I think that he is genuinely that busy and the restaurants are all legitimate. I've never watched the Kardashians, but apparently they don't always have much to do, so they have to make up little story lines about finding a stray dog and buying each other little pets. But it's all set up and fake. That doesn't seem to be the case with Gordon Ramsay

HerosUncle · 19/02/2026 10:05

I can't get past looking at Tana knowing he had a full time mistress on the go in Wandsworth

Scenty · 19/02/2026 10:06

I imagine his childhood has given him that drive.

Agree the kids seemed nice , apart from Holly and Adam Peaty who appeared sort of brittle and a little vacuous.

I hated the way he kept saying that you only have to look at Tana to see how Holly would turn out. It was demeaning to them both. Whereas Tana is very beautiful, the sort of ‘trophy’ mindset is a bit ick.

She seemed very comfortable with it though.

I thought it was all set up and fake. From dressing his kid up as Bob the Builder to the bit where he falls off the 'banquette' seating. The idea that he'd have all the staff uniforms made and then decide he hates them and not have signed off on the designs before they were actually made also seemed completely ludicrous to me. Everything was very carefully curated to make an aesthetically pleasing 'good' tv show.

The bits that were 'real' were also pretty horrible IMO - he puts a glass bowl on his 6? year old kids head and calls him a bellend. Constantly says he's going to be around more for his kids but decides to open lots of restaurants and goes off for 6 weeks and says how much he loves going off on his own.

I don't think he's genuinely interested in his kids at all tbh, he just wants a bunch of mini me's and Holly is the one who has worked out now she's shown an interest in being a chef. I thought from what I'd read about him that he was a genuinely nice bloke but now I think he's just another narcissist who wants to look like a wonderful bloke who saves the day while getting hugely famous as a big tv character. I reckon he's fine as long as you're bowing down to him and being what he wants you to be, allowing him to shout and swear at you - he talks to his staff horribly - but try and argue with him or say you don't like the way he behaves and I bet you're out the door so fast you wouldn't know what's hit you.

It all feels very 80's/90's and I wish we had 100% moved on from that way of being. But he's got the money and the power so everyone shuts up, bows down and takes it.

blubberball · 19/02/2026 11:08

I didn't know about know about the mistress. Bloody hell. I wonder if he's still friends with his mate who was his wife's boyfriend when they met

Fraudornot · 20/02/2026 20:32

I can’t stand him for the affairs and Tana standing by him. Watching the first one and about to turn it off - the constant bickering between him and Tana is very wearing

cherrymauve · 20/02/2026 20:57

I wanted to like it but lasted about 3 minutes and switched it off.

burnoutbabe · 20/02/2026 21:47

I enjoyed the whole lot and quite fancy going to lucky cat )or bread street).
was excited to see my fave YouTubers Harrison Webb on it!

amoosebouche · 20/02/2026 22:24

I liked it, didn't know about his affairs, was mostly lusting after the interiors.

RosePetalsRose · 21/02/2026 10:11

The only person who i liked was Tana. She came across as intelligent and beautiful.
Its a shame she stayed with him after his affair.
They remind me of the Beckhams a bit.

RosePetalsRose · 21/02/2026 10:13

Also i liked Adam and Holly before watching this.

Adam comes across as a bit of a wimp who sucks up to the family and is clearly enjoying all the glitz and glamour. Holly (obviously stunning) doesnt seem to have any personality/drive.

MyballsareSandy2015 · 21/02/2026 10:16

Why on earth would you want to do the whole little kid thing again when you have four kids in their 20s 🤦‍♀️. I know they’re rich but even so.

MyballsareSandy2015 · 21/02/2026 10:18

Fabulous house.

Adam needs to get rid of the tash … and I agree about being a hanger on. He’s very impressed by it all.

Eudaimonia11 · 21/02/2026 10:32

I watched it feeling confused.

He seems like a lovely down to earth family man with loads of money. Great, he’s got financial stability for his family so he can now take a step back and enjoy the fruits of his labour and spend a lot more time with them.

Nope! He doesn’t want to do that, he’s decided to work more and out more pressure on himself. Even if that means spending 6 week stretches away from his wife and kids.

Some people have no choice but to work crazy hours to just about make ends meet but that’s not the case for him. He could be a present and involved father but he doesn’t want to. It’s heartbreaking for his kids. Not so much for his wife because she should have left him years ago, she’s had the choice that the kids don’t have.

I couldn’t have children with someone that selfish. Someone who doesn’t need to work at all but who actively chooses to leave his family all the time. Drive and ambition are sexy and I wouldn’t even date a man without that but Gordon falls into the selfish arsehole category. Leaving his wife and whatever staff they have to do everything and he pops back home here and there.

Potentially she had 4 small
kids at 22-27 when Gordon was a starting up chef. So lots of worry and stress. Not a ton of money.
now she can “enjoy” motherhood again with money worries behind her.

gruit · 21/02/2026 12:55

didn’t he proudly announce he’d never ever changed a nappy? Tana seems lovely but is very guarded in this. I suspect she’s happy to live the luxury lifestyle. Made me grimace a bit when she said they had no help with the kids. If they’ve got no help, it’s a choice thing. She could afford all the nanny’s and cleaners she wanted!

RosePetalsRose · 21/02/2026 19:05

Also Gordons issues with his upbringing and ‘getting out of the shithole’ he lived in I think has rubbed off on Adam.

Adam’s treatment of his own family suggests that his mentality and view is that he is ‘moving on and getting on’ with life to make it better. No doubt Gordon has supported this and encouraged him to be more successful.

it’s a shame because Adam’s family come across as supportive and fairly normal.

lifeisgoodrightnow · 21/02/2026 19:06

I’ve met him. I was a tester on one of his f word shows

Fraudornot · 21/02/2026 21:06

He also said he didn’t want to go down the business end of childbirth as it would ruin their sex life 🤮think the affairs did that Gordon
