Welcome to Thread 10 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

I can’t help but feel he would be very much the young junior stapling the receipts to invoices - I can’t imagine he’s anything but junior In a team doing internal auditing

I work in finance, you need a bit more nous than that to get any kind of job in auditing. You're basically looking for loopholes and fraud anomalies.

I like Alan Cumming, probably from the great character he played on The Good Wife and eventually realising it was the same actor as in The High Life. which I’d not watched much, but seen snippets of.

I tried, but even he couldn’t make me sit through a whole episode of The Traitors US, even though he had some wonderful outfits.

It was only his outfits that kept me going!

That’s good to know, thank you.

Is there not somewhere nearer Ardross they could stay? I used to visit family quite near there, and the nearly-an-hour journey from Inverness Airport was quite a trek. They have made significant improvements to the road since we used to make the journey, though.

Maybe they like a modern hotel with long straight corridors they can guard, and there’s room for the production crew, too.

I imagine they have to keep changing the number plates on the Land Rovers when they go off the Ardross grounds.

I think it might be the only place that fits the bill of being big enough, nothing around it, rooms/floors can be locked down, people can go in and out of the side entrance etc.

I can’t think of any large enough hotels around the area that you could have the privacy and the ability to exit people easily from.

It’s also right next to the airport entrance for easy exits!

The filming happens all around (the steam train for example is 30 minutes south of the airport) so they must spend hours every day in the cars.

I also think the matching matte black land rivers stay at Ardross and they transfer into them near the castle. The airport ones don’t always match so they may be crew cars too.

I saw your explanation and I sympathise. It was my mother who undermined and belittled me so I'm truly grateful to have a wonderful MIL. Your comment would have been better if you had specified 'my MIL' though, as it implied that all MILs deserved a nasty jumper.

Aye come on now. WriterOfWrong's comment didn't imply all MILs deserve a nasty jumper because it was tongue-in-cheek, even had a winking face emoji. You're taking an obvious joking comment literally. Using 'one's' is a droll way of implying 'mine', you must surely have seen that convention used before? Hmm The poster she was responding to used 'a frenemy'. If WoW had followed suit, and said 'a MIL' you'd have been complaining about that too.

You made your point ,it was addressed. Now you're being oversensitive and taking it personally because you have a nice MIL. You didn't tick off the person who seems to think that if sons get married it must be to women, or the one who implied the executive producer of the Traitors said Fiona is a little old lady.Or any of the people who've made many other stereotpyical but not serious 'jokes' made in these many threads.

I'm not taking anything personally! The comment clearly could be read as referring to all MILs. 'One's' does not have to mean 'mine' - surely you know that. And the winking face emoji? It is far too common to brush off a derogatory comment about women, or foreigners, or old people, or MILs etc etc as 'a joke'. We should call out these stereotypes when we see them.

Carol52 · 20/01/2026 22:47

Harriett as brilliant these faithfuls are thick

Pinkbox · 20/01/2026 22:55

Was anyone else surprised to find James has a family with children? I had him pegged as a youthful, carefree mid-20s (not that you can’t have children then) but he’s 38!

Yes, I was surprised that he had a (step) daughter who was old enough to drive. Although as she’s a step daughter her mother may be older than he is.

Or, indeed, 38!

'One's' does not have to mean mine but it's an affectation of speech. Which you seem to be conveniently brushing over. If you found it so derogratory, did you report it to MN?

And if we should call out these stereoptyines why aren't you, as I said before, calling out the lazy stereotypes made by @cariadlet about Fiona's age and @Lollylavender 's assumption that all sons will have female partners? You didn't even agree with the poster calling them out. You just criticized her more.

Don’t worry, this will all be forgotten by the next episode which can’t come soon enough!

Piknik · 21/01/2026 00:01

Is it the New Zealand location that is hilarious? Maybe season 1 and maybe Aus. But it's awful - like a sort of uglier Fawlty Towers Hotel

TraitorsFan · 21/01/2026 01:31

Instagram has just noticed that I watch The Traitors as well as being interested in costume, so I’m getting fed lots of Traitors clothing posts - from their designers, Claudia’s stylist and newspaper articles. It’s great!

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 01:35

Meanwhile my Instagram is showing me stuff that was posted two weeks before Christmas

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 01:39

I’m half watching The Million Pound Shaman Scam which is really quite boring but someone said “the judge revealed that her criminal history went far beyond the faithfuls” and I did a double take!

I didn't use lazy stereotypes about Fiona's age; I was quoting from an article but didn't have it open so misremembered what was written about her.

There was a lot of discussion about Fiona's age in one of the early threads. I think we all agreed that Fiona was the one who played into stereotypes (possibly to weaponise the younger contestants' ageist assumptions) by going on about older women, tena pads etc when she's not actually particularly old.

I didn't call out the others because - amazingly- I don't spend my whole day reading all the comments on this thread. I just happened to see that one. I did not say that 'one's' had to mean 'mine'; I said it could. In the context, and before the poster explained, it definitely implied 'all' MILs. I can't understand why women are happy to defend derogatory stereotypes of women, however innocently they were used.

Not surprised at his age but I was surprised he was married to a woman. No clue why I assumed he was gay. Or maybe it was Jack I had oringally thought was gay and mixed them up somewhere along the way. Who knows!!

Delighted to discover today is Wednesday. We're almost done though can you believe it?

Did the lingering shots on that Who’s Who book ever actually lead to anything? I can’t remember and haven’t noticed it happening over the last couple of episodes.

Is that the 1934 volume? I don’t think so.
