Her parents divorced when she was a child, her mother moved back to Hong Kong, had a baby and in 2018 they were both found dead.

Are they going from all these emotional chats straight into whatever this sting in the pudding is? There’s not much of a cliffhanger going on otherwise but it seems quite a dramatic jump if so.

So far she seems to be quite supportive of Stephen (when she can) which I'm impressed by.

She's hoodwinked them all to respect and like her, so, yes. I think she's a brilliant traitor.

She might be studying for a PhD in a STEM subject, which I imagine doesn’t need you to be good with words.

An in-law of mine doesn’t speak with conventionally perfect English, but they have a PhD in a science subject and is perfectly clear in what they say.
