Ohhh, Aljiaz on ITT today reminiscing about his favourite dances and time on Strictly. He’s fab. Lucky Janette.

He is just the loveliest man, I usually watch it later on iplayer.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 18/12/2025 20:07

Does anyone care that Tom Skinner has pulled out of the final?

Honestly not a jot he made my skin crawl.

Buscobel · 18/12/2025 20:47

I knew when he was announced he would be awful. He should have pulled out before it even began.

I'd kind of forgotten those two weeks of him in it anyway.

The ones that go early soon disappear into the mists of time don’t they? It even seems ages since LV was in it. I enjoyed Tom Skinner’s paso, but won’t miss him in the final and highly doubt anyone will tbh.

Ah ok. Tbh we have never been to the tour because sometimes you don't always like some of the couples and you can't FF them like i do at home 😀

dapsnotplimsolls · 18/12/2025 22:24

Not bothered about Thomas one little bit.

EsmaCannonball · 18/12/2025 22:35

So now the story is Thomas is bringing some kind of legal case against the BBC.

Honestly, if one thing changes in the post-Tess and Claudia era it needs to be the casting director. There was a point when Strictly had just established itself as having national treasure status when it looked like it could be the show that attracted the kind of celeb who wouldn't dream of doing any other celeb show but, for some reason, it decided to go down the reality circuit, controversial personality or dodgy bloke route. Now the kind of celeb who needs Strictly a bit less that it needs them, but might once have been tempted to give it a go, must be thinking it could be a downmarket move.

Good heavens. On what grounds?

Saying all strictly did was cause him "agg" and he wish he hadn't done it, he sounds an absolute knob.

My heart is bleeding.

EsmaCannonball · 18/12/2025 22:51

Apparently he has evidence that the voting was somehow fixed. (Or it could just be the case that he knows the final and Tess and Claudia's last ever show is coming up and he wants to grab headlines.)

I think Thomas's true beef is that his whole shtick is 'I may be lairy and obnoxious but I say it like it is and speak for the common man on the street,' and the common man who watches Strictly said 'no.'

The BBC were stupid for not seeing this coming when they signed the tedious fuckwit.

The worst series ever, very minor celebrities. The whole show needs a major make over, new presenters, new judges, new format. Bruce must be turning in his grave. Just dreadful.

100% agree.

He is by far my favourite professional dancer on the show. Always a great partner, head and shoulders above the other men in the pro routines, and a charmingly goofy personality full of laughter. He’s a delight and Janette is VERY lucky!

The tour is a lot of fun. It can be a blast even when the couples went out early. It's just disappointing when the finalist's don't take part. This is why I know who is getting my votes on Saturday.

I have been to individual professional tours and they are great fun ,

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 19/12/2025 06:19

Hiring Tom Skinner was a massive error, and what he should have done, if he’d had an ounce of integrity or sense, was put it all behind him and go away quietly - but I can’t agree that the casting director needs to be axed for one bad apple. Generally I think we get a good mix of contestants. As a pp pointed out, we all have a different perception of what constitutes celebrity, depending what platforms we’re familiar with. Some solid household names, national treasures etc wouldn’t be interested in doing Strictly, however prestigious and/or squeaky clean it might be (was it ever?) and wouldn't necessarily make good viewing on a dance show, however famous and well liked they are.

I don’t agree it’s been a terrible series either. I’ve enjoyed it as much as ever.

PrincessScarlett · 19/12/2025 08:09

All over the news this morning about Tom Skinner's lawsuit against the BBC. As odious as he is, he reckons he has proof of vote rigging. This will be devastating for Strictly if true. I know we all joke that it's a fix as to who gets eliminated/goes through but if he proves that the voting is fixed I don't think there can be any comeback for the show as it will be a massive deceit for all Strictly fans.

Coffeeishot · 19/12/2025 08:14

What is his evidence? I mean he could say, or unless he was getting all his "followers " to vote and he was still first out and he can't work out why.

WarrenTofficier · 19/12/2025 08:19

I haven't seen his little mantrum does he mean the public vote or the judges dance off vote? Has he clarified?

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 19/12/2025 08:26

I can’t believe the voting’s rigged. This is surely just the biggest case of sour grapes on Tom’s part. He was pretty rubbish at the tasks in the Apprentice iirc; how he’d be capable of sniffing out, let alone proving this, I can’t imagine.
