The interviews have made it seem like a few things didn't make the edit, like Lisa mentioning Ginge dobbing her in for keeping one of the pillows from the tree house and Jack saying everyone thought he had an anger management problem at the beginning... For people to have mentioned those things in interviews, people must have talked about them but we didn't see any of it. Those feel like things they would have included in the edit in the past. It just feels odd that they'd leverage so much fake tension in the clips like pretending Lisa has left (when she came back as Santa) and implying Jack was really upset about the trial (when he was joking) when there were real incidents that could have been shown. Maybe the celebrities will tell us more about it later when they've had a chance to see what was broadcast.
I wonder if ITV have made a decision to appear more ethical. Have they been criticised about something to do with this show? Has the ripple effect of all the controversy on strictly and love island affected all reality shows and we all have to be nice and caring to each other now, just in case? I'm just interested about how we ended up here with the most boring series ever.
Last year they engineered some minor controversy with the "will they find out that the second camp aren't living in poverty" stuff. The Doomsville bit didn't really work as well this time.
