DH and I are eating two of the cinnamon and cardamom buns I made today. They are not dainty and Cherish would probably faint at the size of them but they’re delicious if I do say so myself.

@littlbrowndog according to Google, flour improves makes a dough lighter and helps it rise faster. So a cheat, basically.

I need to know what it tastes like. There is a Japanese bakery I go to that does lovely shokupan and all the drinks look so interesting (grass jelly milk tea!) but I play it safe and go for a chai latte.

'I'm over 'ere, pipin' me pavlovas!' sounds like something Barbara Windsor would say in Carry On Baking.

@littlbrowndog its basically these in terms of the braid and shape, but they were too big to fit into my muffin tins (oooo er missus) so I baked them in a round pan and they melded together like a tear & share, which was no bad thing. Also I added cardamom because I like it. I’d add more cinnamon and cardamom next time.

@EsmaCannonballI don’t think I’ve ever had a chai latte either but weirdly I think I would love it!
