Finally caught up with the recent episodes. I liked the last one. Why did the demos stop when they were in the hospital laundrette? It reminded me of Jurassic park.

I think the demos in the launderette was meant to be a homage as it was almost a shot for shot copy of the kitchen scene from Jurassic Park!

I think the dialogue has been very important in this season

They are trying to get us to understand how all this could possibly happen, who first theorised it all - and linking the characters

Ive watched this season just once, I will squeeze in S4 and S5 again before the last episode, just so I know I have it in my head how its all coming together

Im in my 60's and I love the show. Took me back to my reading material of the 80's when telekinesis was a huge seller - that the Russians and Americans had secret programs where it was being developed

One of the teens at work reckons Dr Kay (LH ) will be saying "if you want to live, come with me " as homage to Terminator

Yes, in the US. Not being able to pause it to pop to the loo and other people possibly being annoying are downsides but can always watch it again at home. I think it will be fun to watch it in a festive new years eve atmosphere

I think there's already Terminator references. Terminators are used in warfare in the film and in ST Dr. Kay wants to develop more El's to be used in warfare against Russia. A tenuous link but it's there all the same 🤣

Yes, I do mean the play! I would definitely not cope with watching the finale in the cinema, I need to pause it when it gets too tense 😆

Season 3 had a whole character (Grigori) who was The Terminator. I don't think they'll do it again.

I'm caught up now. I don't like that in this series they are using guns to kill soldiers. Killing monsters is fine, but Nancy is a teenager and uses a big gun to kill real men that are just doingtheir jobs amd have families. She is actually just a murderer now.

The Will coming out scene was ridiculous. Yes being gay was much harder in the 80's, but did we really need him to spend 3 hours making a list of things he likes beforehand? So overblown, when we know that Jonathan and Robin at least knew already.

I was genuinely scared in the first 2 series and loved the fun of series 3 with the Mall shopping and Erica. But it's been downhill from there. Jamie Campbell Brown has been brilliant, and I am glad they didn't just keep trotting out the mindflayer as the big bad. Also Linda Hamilton improves everything she is ever in. But the writing just hasn't been good enough.

That actor was perfect as the Russian terminator type in season 3 @DeepBlueDeer , had forgotten about that!

@HarryVanderspeigle agree with you completely on the point about Nancy killing men. This was the one thing that didn't sit right with me to be honest. As bad ass as Nancy is there's no way she would be indiscriminately killing men. At the end of the day they are just security guards.

I also agree with this. She just shot them like they were nothing. She wasn’t remotely arsed by it. Surely she’d be horrified and emotional that she’d just murdered someone. But no, totally chilled and just pleased with her good aim.

But they are actively trying to harm them. But I do agree I don't like having the soldiers as the second enemy - especially when we see them questioning Dr Kay- it is clear they are just following orders.

I think in that situation you have to hurt the soldiers because they want to hurt/stop you. All soldiers are following orders at the end of the day.

Will we see the cast defeat Vecna by waving their pride flags aloft?

There has been so much backlash over the Will coming out scene. I get the criticism over too many people but made sense with what he was saying. What dont get is the "ooo theres no signs" Ermmmm!! Previous seasons. Or the "he needs to get with Mike" No!
