Christmas is close, 🎄 we've had minus temperatures for a wee while, and the darker days and sunset by 4pm is with us.

Let Undead Becky continue to bore and annoy us! Let nasty Theo continue to infuriate us! Let the potential child grooming storylines shock us! Let Carl Chuckle Brother continue to shag anything with a pulse! (And hopefully dump Abi!) AND let's get ready for Christmaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!! 🎅❄🎄

I googled Elaine because the only one I could think of was Tim's mum. Apparently she's Carl's mum.

I'm confused about the Driscoll flashback. Which son wasn't her husband's? The youngest? Both? Neither? And was Ben the older or younger brother? Which one saw the dad fall down the stairs?

I think I'm going to have to start paying much closer attention to Corrie, I didn't notice Theo in the bistro or Liam watching drone footage. I guess it's good that they're being a bit subtle with clues but I've gotten into the habit of doing other stuff with Corrie on in the background.

I'm looking forward to and dreading tomorrow's episode. I love Todd, I really hope he's ok, but I'm also hoping we might finally see an end to the Theo nonsense 🤞🏻

Yeah this. I am a bit shocked that Maggie is only 5 years older than Peter. She presents as 15-18 years older than him.

Same with that older woman who had been having a thing with Tim (Trisha was it?) She was meant to be about 9-10 years older than him I think, but she looks old enough to be his mum. (I wonder if that storyline is ever coming back/if it's ever going to go anywhere?)

It'll be weird if that John guy from Emmerdale shows up in Wetherfield, isn't it the same actor who played Andy? There must be some people in the street who remember Andy. Maybe Phelan didn't really kill him, he just went off to start a new (criminal) life in the dales. I wouldn't put anything past the writers at this point...

@bizzey yes Debs was seen ringing Elaine who is apparently the wedding planner. And they have named the new venue and it isn't Home Farm.

I'm glad I am not still watching Emmerdale as I would be getting very confused!

I don’t think Elaine is the wedding planner. Debbie was going to ring Elaine but got sidetracked and phoned the wedding planner. She’s also spoken to the wedding planner a few times since receiving the voicemail to call Elaine back. So if they’re same person, there be no need to ring her and return call. And, she still has that Sticky “Phone Elaine” on the inside of the door.

As has been said, the thought of Peter and Ma Driscoll leaves me a bit cold to be honest... ❄

So we have Lauren and Tim with grooming experience. Lauren seems more likely to stage an intervention. Tim is too busy with his new family. I wonder if Faye and Sally's pair will get a fiver in a Christmas card.

Interesting theory... Wouldn't Debbie have been about 18 when Carl was born? I didn't watch Corrie back then but according to the Wiki she moved to Southampton with Bill and Elaine at the beginning of 1985 and they had all moved to Germany before Carl was born in 1986, so I suppose it's not impossible that she had a baby and Bill and Elaine raised him 🤷‍♀️

The birth certificate doesn't have to be true. You put a name on it. Bill's name. Doesn't mean he is the father.

Elaine left Bill for another man when Carl was 9. She took Carl with her and Bill barely saw him after that. I cannot imagine Bill would let a woman not even related to Carl take him away with her. Of course they could rewrite history and hope none of us ever Wiki'd, but it would be barely more feasible than Ma Driscoll shagging Peter.
