Peter is his father's son. Mum died so Ken packed his kids off to grandparents. Ken spent the next 50 year getting married and having affairs.

I remember Peter accosting Liz, that was a strange interlude. Then there was the bigamy issue. It was straight after he came out of the navy and he already had a drinking problem. But when he returned subsequently he had matured, still complex and narky but interesting. Compared with Tracey he is a saint! She behaved so much worse in so many different ways, she even got away with murder. And Ken was a worse father, shipping Peter and Susan off to the grandparents for their whole childhood.

Looks like Carl has avoided being charged as Tyrone's case has been closed for now.

I don't think anyone knows if Peter is returning @1reason I think some of us on here want him to come back - if only for a few months - to sweep Carla off her feet again, and make her never want anything to do with Lisa Swain again! Then hopefully, Lisa, Becky, and Betsy can feck off into the sunset, and never return. (PLEASE!) 🙏

Yes Leanne is available. Toyah really only loved Spider. But Peter and R Si would see off the grim Swains.

Plus Simon’s character was annoying, and the actor was never right for the part.

R Si was great as a child, but it went very wrong when he grew up.

I quite liked (some of) yesterday's episode. Not the Swain stuff obviously. Swain and Becky are strangely lifeless.

Kit Green super cop is on the case so no doubt Costello and Becky will be in clink by new year.

Debs was unreasonable to ask Kev to be at the wedding with Abi there. Ronnie was right (nice scene with Debs and Ronnie). Anyway of course they all have to be there so there can be an almighty kick off.

The baby shower was funny (until the end).

Oh yes Liam’s drone footage is definitely going to reveal Karl as the culprit of the hit and run .. after yesterday’s big mentions of the police closing the case because of no evidence!

I wondered if it was Carl too. Then I wondered if they were just introducing the idea of Drone Boy for future reference when he sees something he shouldn't. But it does seem like maybe Carl's number will be up fairly soon. There are the Ty and James secrets to come out, and where better than a posh wedding!

Loved the wedding planning scenes, Debbie is so fab, I’d love to be her friend (and guest!). It’s being set up for a Carl/Kev showdown on the wedding day, but I really hope Debbie & Ronnie have tied the knot before it happens and they do get actually married!

I have a theory about Peter returning. I read other sites as well, and it’s a popular theory, but don’t want to post it in case it’s a spoiler, but really adds up.

Yes I thought this too actually, that the drone footage will reveal Carl hitting/knocking over Tyrone.
