Is there some hidden message re Toyah? There was a scene ages ago in the Bistro where Ollie complained about the food to Toyah and then changed his tune and complimented her unusual name when he heard she was called Toyah. He then made a secret phone call where I think he said something about ‘finding her’ - but I might have imagined that! Then on last nights episode, Maggie was uncharacteristically kind to Toyah…. Maybe the man she had an affair with was Toyah’s real dad - and Ben is his son and therefore Toyah’s half brother?!

You are right about the bistro & Ollie, I’d forgotten all about that! No idea what it means though!

I don't think Corrie do stereotype older women at all? Think of Liz and Bev in classic! And nowadays Audrey, Rita, Debbie, Sally (and Jenny). The only one who dresses like Minnie Caldwell is maybe Evelyn who tends to look like a bag of shopping.

Maggie is meant to be authoritarian, controlling and 'traditional' so the terrible clothes are right for her.

Toyah pretended to be Susies mother. Mrs Doyle will want to sort her and Adam out.

They are pushing the boat out for the new family, that is twice they have had the pub packed. I know ITV are loathe to spend money on extras but it really does make a difference to see a full pub of people doing a passable impression of enjoying themselves.

I agree, the Rovers is the heart of Corrie and it was absolutely hollowed out during the past few years. At least we've had more scenes in there, and it looks busier, even if we have to put up with Ma Driscoll.

Maggie/Mrs Doyle was on This Morning. Even with the subtitles on I couldn't understand half of what she said. She looked.....different....

Why do Carla/Becky/Swain constantly discuss their relationship woes in front of Betsy? I know she’s not a child, but you just wouldn’t. Fed up of her sticking her oar in. Totally unrealistic.

Carla should kick everyone out...not Ryan. Surely Lisa only moved in because of plumbing problems or something . Todd could move in with Carla and Ryan.

She behaves like a child, she has zero recognition of how difficult things are for Carla. Lisa is not much better

Carla should definitely kick out all the Swains. She and Kit do look good together. At least she isn't a whole foot shorter than him!

I liked the Debbie scenes. The scene where she couldn't remember their song was so well done. Carl never misses a chance to defraud her though.

Ma Driscoll is an outright bully, I don't know how it isn't obvious to everyone.

Yes is Carl really booking her wedding or is the money going somewhere else ? My guess is that wedding planner charged £1000 but he will tell Debbie £2000.

He told Debbie the deposit was £3k and she said take it out of the hotel funds. The deposit was only £1k so he'll pocket the rest. (£1k deposit for an event 3 weeks away is ridiculous, they would surely want 50% by that point!)
