I like it as easy watching and a drama possible romance with murder and mystery

all on a Friday night

Anna Samson's Mackenzie getting close with her ex and forensic pathologist Glenn (Tai Hara), after the first season's finale ended on a major cliffhanger for the former couple's romantic prospects.

The moment in question saw Glenn confess to Frankie the Dog that he was still in love with his former fiancée Mack, despite his engagement to Andrea Demetriades's Daisy. What he didn't realise was that Mack heard the whole thing.

What will Mack do - she obv still has feelings for him ………

It has been revealed that Colin will be helping to organise Glenn's stag do, making it hard for Mack in her attempts to ignore the upcoming wedding.

The rest of the central cast from season 1, including Demetriades as Daisy, Catherine McClements as Philomena, Celia Ireland as Reggie and Aaron L McGrath as Felix, will all be returning, as will Death in Paradise (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-season-15-release-date/) favourite Ardal O'Hanlon.

As in season 1, O'Hanlon will be reprising his role as DI Jack Mooney, the lead of Death in Paradise from seasons 6 to 9, who is now back in London and also happens to be Mackenzie's boss from her time there.

The synopsis for season 2 says: "The team contend with even more perplexing cases this series, including the chemical poisoning of a man alone at sea, alongside having to deal with larger-than-life characters like a troublesome rock band who fall under suspicion when one of their members turns up dead.

Beyond her detective duties, Mackenzie is forced to face Glenn’s shocking confession that he still has feelings for her, despite his impending wedding to Daisy, complicating her own feelings toward him even further.

"Meanwhile, the unexpected arrival of Colin’s old friends from back home starts to crack the mystery behind his decision to leave everything behind and build a new life in the tight-knit community of Dolphin Cove."

I’m enjoying this weeks episode. Nice to see Colin have centre stage.

BlueandWhitePorcelain · 28/11/2025 21:01

Haz (from Neighbours) isn’t in Paris after all! He’s still in Australia!

InMySpareTime · 29/11/2025 06:34

We watched it but a bit after broadcast.
Classic locked room but I guessed it was her right from the drunk stumble.
The bathroom scene was good with the maths as calming strategy, but “the moment” lacked any spark which slightly spoiled it.

I don't find that the 2 leads have any chemistry

I like the supporting cast better

Davros · 30/11/2025 23:28

@Lunde I totally agree

Yes, and with a passable English accent! Nate was in last week’s too.

We love it - especially as we lived in the ‘Gong’ where a lot of this is set. Love the characters and want to know what happens.

Did not know this! Also lived in the 'Gong, right on the beach, for six months. Am off to google now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/12/2025 20:55

E5 tonight

a crime writer is found dead after announcing his new controversial comeback book

OP posts:
InMySpareTime · 06/12/2025 07:01

Saw that one coming as it was impossible with original timings. Bad luck about the shoe in the same grate though.
As soon as they mentioned the baby being 3 months old and last year’s writers thing I was on the lookout for the secret rendezvous but thought it was Mrs mermaid not mermaid herself (who had some lovely outfits btw).

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/12/2025 21:03

I’m impressed @InMySpareTime. I hadn’t a clue

OP posts:
Silverbirchleaf · 10/12/2025 21:28

I thought he was probably poisoned when I saw him drinking, but then got confused by the knife.

Also wondered whether he was the father but liked the twist that it was the lady in green (fab lipstick) who was the pregnant one, not the other lady. I knew the tatoo was significant when I saw it, but didn’t know how.

I also wondered if the new manuscript plot had stolen from the aspiring writer and that was the reason for the murder.

Clawdy · 12/12/2025 08:22

Last one tonight!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/12/2025 09:00

It is indeed. Sad as I do lik these death in series’s

Silverbirchleaf · 12/12/2025 15:13

@Blondeshavemorefun Me too.

Do we think there’s going to be romance cliffhanger? Will the bride be jilted? Or will we be left hanging?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/12/2025 16:06

I don’t think he will marry her

OP posts:
Ryah76 · 12/12/2025 21:02

Awful over acting from the lead.

I don’t think he will marry her

Hopefully Daisy dumps him & finds someone better!

Clawdy · 15/12/2025 09:00

Yes, Mackenzie was really irritating in that last episode. I'll miss it though. Hopefully there'll be another series.

diddl · 15/12/2025 09:18

I know the whole thing is daft but this was the daftest I think.

Yes she really was irritating.

Surely the Glenn character isn't leaving for good as I thought the premise of this show was the will they/won't they?

Not that I'd care if he left!

Davros · 15/12/2025 18:39

I was wondering if Mackenzie can be replaced like in Death in Paradise, how many have there been now, 5? I can’t stand her gurning

Davros · 15/12/2025 18:41

Keep Glenn, Bin Mac 🎙️
