Asha took an overdose, as she has been depressed and low, but she's OK (physically.) Recently been attacked by a horrible racist woman who seems to have got away with it thus far!

Brody - Kit's son - is starting to become 'nice,' like (nearly) all the bad kids do!

Tim has just met up with a woman he knew from years ago... An ex flame I think. Sally is not happy!

Jenny has left!

Bethany is back! Lost her journo job. Again!

Todd is still in a bad, toxic relationship with Theo! Lego hair.

Lisa Swain's deceased wife Becky has risen from the grave! Threatening Lisa and Carla's relationship.

Kev's brother Carl enjoys having sex - with anyone really. Abi believes that Carl loves her. He doesn't!

Tyrone's not having a good time lately! He's in a bad way after being hit by a car.

Probably some more stuff going on that I've missed.

Yeah, re: the names Theo and Noah, all the ones I know (and there are a few) are children. From toddler to teen. I don't know any men in their early 40s called Theo or Noah. I'm no expert, but I am pretty sure that these 2 names were not typical names given to boys in the early 1980s when Theo and Noah (from Corrie) would have been born.

I would like to see more teens with her happy go lucky attitude, just mucking about. I know Sarah had Bethany at thirteen and was kidnapped by an internet weirdo but they managed to fit in a lot of regular stuff too. Those two always managed to just chat like regular teens do

Assuming Noah is a similar age to Todd, who is a similar age to me, I didn't know any Noah's or Theo's growing up. Mind you, is Noah meant to have grown up in some ultra religious family? Or did he join the cult them as an adult? I suppose it's possible that uber religious Christians would have chosen an OT name in the 80s.

DS2 (18) OTOH couldn't move for Theo's and Noah's at school. There were loads of them.

I know an American Seth who is in his forties and from a very evangelical background. So Noah might work. The oldest Theo I know is 35. Old Noahs here are 18.

I think Christina was comparing Theo to one of Michael Fish’s big black clouds on the old weather maps. ( she was having that conversation with George at the bistro before Theo arrived )

I'm glad Christina sees Theo in that dark light. I hope the SW will give her the chance to be serious about it and a support to Todd rather than just a wooden spoon stirring things up giving Theo more ammunition, as if he needs it the fucking irritating, insufferable bastard.

She should stay with George so they can rescue Todd by Christmas.

This. Micheal Fish played down the threat of a hurricane (he laughed it off, but then it happened), Todd is playing down Theo’s behaviour.

Maybe it would have been funny 37 years ago

It feels like the are trying to rehabilitate Christina.

I wish they would drop the stupid feud with Glenda, it was bad enough with Jenny, not sure why they want round two

The Michael fish thing was a reference to when Christina and George were talking before Theo arrived. She expressed doubts about him and said he was like one of the dark clouds that the weatherman pins on the map .

Initially when Christina set her sights on George it was looking like she was trying to fleece him of his cash. She said she was penny less despite her husband dying (he left her nothing?) Is this idea forgotten now or is there more to come on this? I disliked her at first but even if she turns out to be a wrong'un I like her a bit.

Christina's recent bereavement seems to be an extremely easily forgotten 'storyline' to get the character back into the street. Or did she not like her late husband?

Yeah I didn't get that reference, and I was a young adult when it happened, (the 1987 hurricane.) I don't think it matched the situation. Someone trying to deny something happening in their relationship, being compared to Michael Fish and his 'there is NO hurricane coming' line (when there was one) seemed odd to me.

I can see a teeny tiny link, but to be honest, it's very tenuous. It must be, as most people didn't get it.... 😆

I hope that the producers do not waste the opportunity of bringing in a good actress into the show.

If she fleeces George proving Glenda right it will just be tedious and pointless

The character is a bit all over the place at the moment. It is a bit odd, burying the husband then cozying up to the funeral director but this is Corrie.

Just one of the many forgotten storylines in Corrie... Like young Jack losing his foot, Steve McDonald's depression, Summer's diabetes, David's epilepsy, Tracy's donor kidney (from her stepdad Samir - in the mid 1990s,) that should have needed replacing a decade ago!

Nick's brain injury, (and Shona's too.) Billy's painkiller and drug addiction, Sean being homeless for some months, and Dev's daughter Amber who was in Corrie for several years in the mid noughties, (in fact NONE of his children are mentioned except Asha and Aadi, and I'm sure he had about 7!!!)

Then there's Carla being responsible for the death of a Polish worker in her factory. (There was zero follow up to that! It was 2007.) And Gary Windass being responsible for the death of Rana (when the factory roof collapsed. In 2019 I think.)

And where the fluffing heck are Gemma and Chesney's quads? Also Sabrina (who was dating Max) who Lauren was jealous of.

Also, where's Lauren? And where's Sabrina's brother (Gav was it???) And why does no-one ever mention Faye? Tim is her father. He never mentions her.

Also, no-one ever mentions Andy (Steve McDonald's twin brother.) Steve mentions his mum and dad now and again, but it's like Andy never existed.

To my horror though I've read that Liz 'smoke coming out of her mouth' McDonald is returning and I am praying to the Gods of Ulster that Jim doesn't follow her.

Question would Todd be so willing to jump into bed with Thunder Theo knowing he’s having a camera up his backside ?! I mean really !!

We were going to call our now 35 year old daughter Noah had she been a boy! Everyone was appalled! Her actual name was also laughed at in 1990 but has been in the top 20 for about 10 years now.
I always say I was a trendsetter!
