Carrying on from the last thread. Smile

Asha took an overdose, as she has been depressed and low, but she's OK (physically.) Recently been attacked by a horrible racist woman who seems to have got away with it thus far!

Brody - Kit's son - is starting to become 'nice,' like (nearly) all the bad kids do!

Tim has just met up with a woman he knew from years ago... An ex flame I think. Sally is not happy!

Jenny has left!

Bethany is back! Lost her journo job. Again!

Todd is still in a bad, toxic relationship with Theo! Lego hair.

Lisa Swain's deceased wife Becky has risen from the grave! Threatening Lisa and Carla's relationship.

Kev's brother Carl enjoys having sex - with anyone really. Abi believes that Carl loves her. He doesn't!

Tyrone's not having a good time lately! He's in a bad way after being hit by a car.

Probably some more stuff going on that I've missed.

@eggandonion Jack is at a football training camp (abroad somewhere I think). Kev mentioned it before the poker game. That was why he was fed up and alone at home.

Good point about rhubarb season! He definitely should not have binned that crumble!

eggandonion · 20/11/2025 08:41

Why is Jack still away...does he not have school? Kevin should keep Alfie. Im fed up with Abi and carl.
I read a while ago that tinned apple pie filling makes good crumble. I have never seen tinned rhubarb so perhaps Todd found some frozen rhubarb in Eileen's freezer.
Athlete boy is boring. Wasn't lovely Jason a top athlete and Bradley's son played soccer. And James or Michael played soccer. Lots of sporting talent.

carmak · 20/11/2025 07:04

I thought that Theo was heavily hinting at that too.

Same here!

Yep, I'm another one who thought Todd was going to be pressured into a threesome.

MonickerMonica · 20/11/2025 11:14

Am I the only one who thought little Todd was about to wear the rhubarb crumble on his head? Theo has form.
(he...Theo...needs exterminating...which means the actor is doing a great job.)

R0ckandHardPlace · 20/11/2025 11:59

I think Jack’s missing leg (that’s never referred to) might put paid to a career in pro football. Nobody would send a child abroad for weeks in term time just for a hobby.

Don't forget Lioness Lily who disappeared for a whole month to attend some football camp

zanahoria · 20/11/2025 13:43

It made me laugh when You said he was writing to prisoners - he could just write to Lou, Mick, Max etc.

I assumed he was writing to one of the many 'lags' of Corrie, which is why he wouldn't tell anyone who it was.

HaddyAbrams · 20/11/2025 13:53

It seems odd that no one is ever seen playing football, except maybe occasionally kicking a ball against a wall, yet the street is apparently full of amazing players.

I've got a young relative who's been head hunted by some clubs (might not be the right words, I'm not into football) but he plays most weekends, after school. Is always kicking a ball about.

eggandonion · 20/11/2025 15:12

Did Lily have the head transplant at soccer camp?
Poor Jack...he may need a full person transplant so he becomes a better actor. I feel sorry for him though. Difficult birth story. Dead mother. Currently losing Abi and Debbie in different ways. (Crying quietly into my cheese sandwich...)

Shellingbynight · 20/11/2025 15:25

@zanahoria oh yes I'd forgotten Roy and his letters. He obviously has some kind of special friendship with one of them so likely it is Lou or one of the other Weatherfield crims. Either way it'll be a 'Roy scammed by prisoner' storyline.

When was the last time anyone was seen at the red rec?

Did Emily and Spider sit in those trees in vain?

I was watching through my hands, waiting for Theo to shove the crumble in poor Todd’s mouth like he did that kebab. I do hope George mellows and helps him.

NebulousSadTimes · 20/11/2025 17:29

As soon as Roy said he was corresponding with prisoners I thought there's going to be some ex con coming onto the street at some point, probably fairly soon because no depth, causing some kind of yawnfest disturbance. Or they'll be a hard done by needy person who just needs a helping hand to turn into a much loved, as much as they can be nowadays, character, depending on the public's reaction to the actor.

Oh, I've just gone down a rabbit hole in my head, maybe the prisoner is something to do with Becky. Fingers crossed he, she, they or it will come out and get rid of her. And Theo.

Theo is unrelenting. It's not very realistic, IME. It's just too much, there needs to be a bit of relief from time to time.

Gingercar · 20/11/2025 19:18

Bit strange really. All Roy needs to do is go to the Rovers. Just about every regular is an ex con.

I don’t have a food waste bin! Must depend on authority.

It is an excuse by the writers to explain why he is not seen. They are hoping that we will forget about him, until he suddenly turns up a few years later with a new leg which has grown on suddenly.
Like Bobby's ''death'' in Dallas, the amputation was just a dream.

Daytimetellyqueen · 20/11/2025 21:03

We don’t have a food waste bin either @NCTDN! Wonder if this will be the Christmas storyline or how long the Todd & Theo relationship will go on for?!

thenightsky · 20/11/2025 21:14

No food bin here either.

ToeJob · 20/11/2025 22:01

I can’t get too worked up about child/teen characters disappearing for spurious reasons. I get that it’s not very realistic, but child actors can only work limited hours, and require chaperoning when they do - they have to explain their absence somehow. I can’t see any great value in featuring child characters just to say “Look, here they are”. Who cares?

zanahoria · 20/11/2025 22:04

Kev did mention that Jack was playing for an amputee football team .

eggandonion · 20/11/2025 22:27

I have a nasty brown plastic food waste bin. There are smart Joseph Joseph food caddy versions available.
I know the kids have to do exams...but the forgotten pets is a whole other issue. And people like Max who nobody mentions.
