It’s all just teen angst.
No idea why grown women are getting so worked up about it. I read an article on the BBC (I think) about bars in New York putting their tvs over to it for groups of women to watch.
I suspect it’s more about ogling the male actors than anything else. The story is dull as.

I am enjoying it as watchable trash ! But I think in real life she shouldn’t have either !

My 18 yr old DD and her friends love this show. It's ridiculously plotted and the characters are not exactly believable but it's a lush, angsty drama with lots of beautiful young people and a great soundtrack

I like it enough that I’ve watched all seasons & I’ve not thought too much about the whole 2 brothers thing, but actually, if that happened in real life, I would definitely be raising my eyebrows. It’s a very unusual situation and pretty shitty for all involved.

It is fluffy tosh but very enjoyable to watch. I watch it with my 14 year old dd. All her friends watch it. It’s a big show to them….like Dawson’s Creek or Beverly Hills 90210 was to previous generations. We binged watch the first 2 seasons so that we would be up to date for Season 3.

My dd and her friends are all Team Conrad. She knows my thoughts - neither brother is worthy of a Team. Belly is atrocious.

I’m Team Steven all the way. He has to watch his sister and best friends ruin everything. As I’ve explained to my dd, the true love story in all of this is Steven and Taylor.

I’m 50 and watched all 3 seasons 🤣 it’s easy watching trash tv, I love where it’s set in the US and the gorgous big beach house in Cousins

I agree though, Steven is the one we should all be rooting for. He’s grown throughout the seasons and has to pick up the pieces everytime his sister has a fall out with his best friends.

I'm enjoying it, it's an easy watch. But I'm getting really irritated by the team Conrad and team Jeremiah stuff.

If im being honest she's a little toxic and she should just let both boys go and leave them be. There's no scenario where everyone is going to be happy, whichever brother she ends up with, there is still going to be a huge rift between the brothers. If she loved them she would just let them both move on.

Taylor used to be annoying, and Jere and Belly were cute. Now J and B are infuriating and Steven and Taylor have come into their own

NB Connie hasn’t really changed but he provides excellent eye candy imo

I watch it with my DD who loves it. I was telling a friend of mine, a rough outline of the plot and she just said, ‘So it’s about a girl who shags two brothers and ricochets between the two? Mmmm sounds toxic!’ I had to agree.

Plot is ridiculous, but twas ever thus with teen fiction! My niece loves Jenny Han’s books and all of the TV shows and I can see why.

It’s slick, high budget, well paced entertainment. Fast plots. Fun characters. Pretty people. Property porn: I love the beach house!

I dislike the objectification of the young actors, right from season 1, especially the women, often in tiny clothes, bikinis etc. Had naively thought TV aimed at young people might have moved on from that shit. Seems worse in TSITP even than other US things, eg XO Kitty (same author).

Was WTF about group dance routine scenes in a recent episode: it’s been mocked a lot online which is good!

They are all Team Conrad; frankly I think Isabel (cannot stand her nickname 😂) is a pain in the arse and needs to realise there are other men in the world.

More invested in Taylor & Steven! Daughter tells me their relationship doesn’t really feature in the books?

I watched the first two seasons and the lead girl just drove me crazy so i think ive decided not to watch season 3 as i want to keep all of my hair!

Well I watched the finale tonight! It’s over.. that’s done… not sure I was happy with that ending but I do love her hair 🤣 and again.. the soundtrack has me !!
