Judith pushing over the tower might have been my favourite moment from the whole series.

Not rooting for anyone. I don't like Saskia and Josh, but at least they seem to have a bit of a clue and don't dismiss the clues. Think Nick would have got that easily.

Oh, and did anyone figure out the number clue? 4136 iirc?

bizzey · 25/08/2025 00:20

The only thing I got from those numbers straight away was ..4136
Pi =3.14

bizzey · 25/08/2025 00:23

Not sure where the other number comes in though !

I miss Nick !

If you go a few decimal places into pi then it's 3.14159... which would be 3.1416 to 4 dp. So, that would include the 6.

Bit of an odd clue, though.

bizzey · 25/08/2025 01:01

I knew 6 would get there eventually ! ..but it was a bit of a stretch 😅.

Were those numbers the red herrings then ?

AugustDieSheMust · 25/08/2025 01:23

From what I've read on this thread it seems that the red herrings might actually be clues to subsequent X locations, or perhaps just to the final one.

I've no clue about 4136, though, unless it's the letters which went with those numbers on old telephone dials
4 = GHI
1 = ABC
3 = DEF
6 = MNO

bizzey · 25/08/2025 01:34

Well !!
Spooky ..
I have made a cup of tea and come to bed .
Clicked TV on .
It is the repeat of X where Nick gets voted off.

So interesting to see all their responses .

Daren is very happy !

Just how weird .

Nice seeing what they said about each in other in the beginning !

NewAgeNewMe · 25/08/2025 07:31

Judith for me. Only watched Pisa one last night. Personally I think the clues are a bit out there.

TitsInAbsentia · 25/08/2025 21:36

The clues are very dusty bin 3 2 1 which i get you won't get unless you are of a certain age! I really don't want Josh or Saskia to win and I don't feel Darren can win without a pure fluke so I am cheering on Judith now..never thought I'd say that!

TitsInAbsentia · 25/08/2025 21:37

Did the postcard clue really give anything? Was it mean to be the woman was holding up the leaning tower?

TitsInAbsentia · 25/08/2025 21:41

But also how has saskia gone from being clueless to suddenly being very 'on it'?

It was which is the pose everyone does if they visit there. But if Pisa wasn't on your radar, you might not have realised that's what it was.

To us it was obvious because on this thread we had already worked out it was Pisa but if you weren’t even sure of the country it wouldn’t be that clear at all.

If ABC = 1 then wouldn’t DEF = 2?

I googled keypads and it seems the 1 doesn’t have letters attached anyway so not sure it can be keypad related. Unless it’s “I DO” wedding related?

I can't find the original dial I was looking at, but the ones I can see now (I'm on a computer not my phone) have ABC = 2, which seems more logical.

It was a dial not a keypad, though - I was thinking of the ones in telephone boxes. If there were no letters with 1 at the one I looked at then I wouldn't have posted, as it wasn't a workable solution.

The old rotary phones had letters starting from 2, but they were uncommon in the U.K.

CrossPurposes · 26/08/2025 12:00

I think it's Pisa in (loose) number form reversed.

Does anyone else have the impression that the producers are messing with the format as they go, in order to force more rivalry into the group? Especially early on they were all pretty chummy and trying to solve the puzzles together. I especially thought that about the kayaking task where they were kayaking on behalf of another but didn’t know that when they selected their oars, as if the oars and kayaks had been already made and they were like “we need to inject more drama into this, how can we do that?”

I’ve thought that at a few points like when they instruct someone not to share information and things like that.

Still enjoying the show (and think it would be fun to go on) but agree with others the format needs work. Unlike others though I found Nick insufferable and am relieved he’s no longer in the game.

SwedishEdith · 26/08/2025 20:04

Rob Brydon was just one The One Show. He did say how hard it was to keep destinations from the contestants. For example, production crew bringing back a coffee or a bag from a shop which, inadvertently, gave away the name of the location. Or even just saying it out loud because you forget you shouldn't. Makes me wonder how difficult it would be for all crew to get that right 100% of the time 🤔

Oh, I like this.

My DP was saying it's the same number as a local train to Rome, and that Rome could be the final destination. But surely they wouldn't be spending three separate stops in Italy??

episode is called Stick or Twist. Monaco casino reference?

GenieGenealogy · 27/08/2025 21:03

This show has lost its shine for me but I'm too invested not to watch to the end.

AugustDieSheMust · 27/08/2025 21:03

The biscuit place where they might be going tonight: I know a song about it, from a musical. So, look out for clues about The Boyfriend, unless that’s too obscure.
