Just watching this on channel 5, and I’ve never seen anything more chaotic. I know this is reality TV but honest buying furniture without measuring a room is completely ridiculous.. I don’t understand why the couple have taken the on.

Is this a new series?

I think so, but I have a really bad memory!

I do enjoy Alex Polizzi, she's very entertaining and knows her shit. Some of the people on the program really do make you despair. Spending their life savings buying an old ramshackle hotel with absolutely zero experience of hospitality or business! Crackers 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you think that’s chaotic you need to watch the old channel four show, The Hotel.

The hotel we stayed in when we got married featured on that!! They’d gone downhill since our wedding!

Nah this couple weren’t in jepordy like some of the others. Big house, two businesses, skiing holiday booked a week after opening? It was all just for publicity.

I've watched the first two episodes of this. I used to love the old series where Alex came out with some brilliant (and often caustic) one liners and where most of the owners shouldn't even be staying in hotels, let alone running them. This series, so far, seems very tame in comparison. The owners have pretty much got their shit together and don't really need much help, and certainly not a kick up the backside.

I love Alex but in the last episode all she really did was tell them to lay on a cold buffet breakfast? They figured everything else out themselves.

The couple seemed very resentful of each other. Lots of disrespectful faces and snippy comments. Not surprising given that they have 3 children and 2 full time businesses and were sleep deprived but I wouldn't want my struggling marriage to feature on tv like that.

Not enjoying this series as much. The hotels don’t really need her help as before.

I don’t understand the finances in this new series. None of them own the properties yet they’ve all spent thousands and thousands doing them up 🤷🏼‍♀️

We watched the first 2 episodes of this series but lost interest and switched this weeks episode off , the programme is called hotel inspector not ‘advise me on decorating inspector ‘ . Totally boring . I also agree with @FrenchandSaunders about all these people investing vast sums in buildings that they don’t even own , they must be complete nut jobs .

Personally I don't think the last few seasons have been much to write home about.I love Alex but it feels like she's just going through the motions at this point and I think after 20 years on the air The Hotel Inspector has run its course.

I didn’t realise it was that long. Surely there must be a lot of coaching for owners to come out saying everything is fine when they apply to be on the series because the business is failing.

I think Alex and Gordon Ramsey would make a great team and great TV sorting out Hotels with restaurants.

I didnt warm to this couple. She annoyed me more than him, thinking the builders were going to move plugs after the room was finished. I really wanted Alex to lamp her one.

Ramsay could do with sorting out his own restaurants first.

I love Alex but agree with pp that couple was all for show,they knew what they were doing.

Just caught up with this episode. Their pub in west Wittering needs a lot to be desired food wise, twice I’ve had undercooked chicken there. Won’t ever go back now.

So just watched the ‘Metro Cafe’ with the Persian couple. Three questions - why is turning round grotty cafes now and not a hotel? Why didn’t she suggest changing the god awful pointless name? And why was she so arsey? She certainly seemed far more aggy than with the nice posh white couple a couple of episodes back!

@Screamingabdabz I agree it's odd that it was a cafe and not a hotel.

However, I can see why she was arsey, that man was horrible and I bet they didn't show the full extent of his behaviour. Saying they had done 'half a job' when they spent all that time and effort updating it all. Rude.

I got the impression that he was desperate for help, hence asking her and her team to come in ... but he couldn't really cope with a woman telling him what to do. His wife looked very wary of him IMO.

Nothing to do with his skin colour or race . He was obstructive and ungrateful.

Yep and if they have to get out it’s win win for the landlord .

I thought she kept her cool! When he focussed on the top bit of the outside, I’d have been tempted to put the whole team on ladders fixing that for him with the remaining time, then waving goodbye. But Alex is not petty like me 😂
