Can't see a thread on this? This is Below Deck without the boat. Bunch of entitled staff catering to the 5*+ needs and wants of even more entitled VIPs in a collection of what amounts to some fancy air bnbs in Sydney. Pretty much everyone is fascinatingly horrible, just varies by degree. Whole series on iplayer, 8 episodes. If it's your kind of thing, grab it before Hayu or another streamer snaps it up. Heaven knows why it's on BBC.

I watched the first 2 episodes back to back this morning. I like it, but the staff seem a bit hopeless. The poor housekeeper is trying clean, do laundry, make beds and pretty much everything else, whilst 3 concierges swan around telling her off for not getting all the dresses steamed in time for dinner. I like the 2 chef brothers and gardening/driver guy.

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 08/07/2025 16:00

Sounds just the thing im looking for! Finished dallas cheerleaders and need an easy watch, will give this a try, thank you!

Serpentstooth · 08/07/2025 16:52

Poor housekeeper. The houses are so poorly equipped for dealing with the quantity of laundry. Watching her try to iron a ridiculous amount of expensive dresses and shirts with one domestic iron and ironing board is absurd, nobody could do it. Terrible managers too. Great fun to watch though as they shift the blame around.)

Im currently watching the first episode. The guest that has turned up with a dog is sp annoying! It's not even her vacation and she's acting like a spoilt brat!

cramptramp · 10/07/2025 14:15

Binge watching it now. I love it.

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 10/07/2025 14:24

I recognise the house in episode one from a film or tv series but just can't remember what it is! It's the tree outside I recognised first.
Does anyone else also recognise it?

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 10/07/2025 14:50

Oh my goodness the guest complaining about the towels being "too smooth"!!

Serpentstooth · 10/07/2025 18:51

I'm ashamed to admit I'm already waiting on series 2. Hope there is one.

Just finished last episode and feel the same!! It's been left wide open for another series, hopefully we aren't waiting too long!

That JB is such a snake and didnt even seem that good at his job. The cavier talk he did awful considering he'd been on a course a few days before so should have been fresh in his mind.

Dontjudgeme101 · 12/07/2025 08:44

l found this yesterday and started watching it. I love it. Definitely hope they make another series.

Rafting2022 · 12/07/2025 16:12

OMG I’m so glad I found this - I absolutely love it! It’s like Below Deck on land! I’m going to binge watch it all today!

Dontjudgeme101 · 12/07/2025 16:13

I have just finished it. It’s excellent. They have to make a new series.

EachandEveryone · 12/07/2025 22:27

I’m on the third one thanks for the heads up. They don’t come accross as being billionaires do they? For a start you wouldn’t rent a house that’s so over looked. The staff on below deck seem much more organised and imaginative.

Rafting2022 · 13/07/2025 11:17

Yes I thought about the first house which just seemed to be in the middle of an estate.

I suppose the second property was a bit more unique, remote and much bigger.

I know they’ll be encouraged to play up for the cameras but imagine getting so worked up about the way a towel is folded!

I am now trying to ration episodes having binge watched 5 yesterday!

EachandEveryone · 13/07/2025 15:01

Also no tips so it’s not as good as below deck. I bet they don’t get paid much and zero hour contracts!

Rafting2022 · 14/07/2025 01:13

Yes the post-guest review isn’t as good as the tips on Below Deck!

LemograssLollipop · 14/07/2025 03:52

Binge watched this tonight and I'm hooked. 5 eps in

Considering they work for the best company in this field they are shockingly shockingly inept especially in the military guy episode.

My favourite is Elsie,I find her very relatable.
Wonder if flouncy Salvatore will make a comeback?!

Where can I watch Below Deck?

Serpentstooth · 14/07/2025 06:20

Below Deck currently on E4. Past series - many - on ITVX, Netflix Prime? Easy to find.

OP posts:
Serpentstooth · 14/07/2025 06:53

Can't believe the staff don't get tips, who would put up with these people for no extras? Unless the urge to be on tv is so overwhelming they think its worth it?.

OP posts:
EachandEveryone · 14/07/2025 10:59

I’ve got no idea. I bet you any money they are on basic pay and zero hour contracts. It doesn’t seem like the work would be consistent enough. The chefs must get paid more obviously they could work where ever they wanted. The others are rubbish at their jobs and yes that lead woman I can’t remember her name does need to do something with her hair.

thenightsky · 14/07/2025 11:48

Just watched the episode where the French guy (JB) is saying Grace needs to fasten her hair back to serve food. I thought, thank goodness because I've been cringing every time she leaned over the table with her hair hanging down.

Serpentstooth · 14/07/2025 12:42

Below Deck fans and beginners, just spotted new series S11 ep1 starts tonight 8pm E4. In the Caribbean.

OP posts:
PangolinPan · 14/07/2025 15:01

Ive watched six of these, addicted!

I don't usually watch things like this, some things seem really faked to me (I don't care though!) like the champagne in ep 1, and Salvatore walking out ..surely he would just sack Heaven?! Heaven is like a different person from Ep 1 to the one I'm on...anyway, I'm enjoying it!

Serpentstooth · 14/07/2025 15:34

I'm sure Heaven has been put in for entertainment value, she appears to have different working terms to the others, does as she pleases with no comeback. Do give Beliw Deck a go tonightl Pangolin, very similar with better locations and staff who seem mostly competent regarding boat stuff (? What would I know?) but have the emotional control of an average 5 year old. Petty jealousies and one upmanship abound and as for the guests . . . You'll surprise yourself.
