DH is away - DS1 and his GF think that I might be lonely so have helpfully invited themselves round for tea

I would be quite happy watching tennis on my own!

Did anyone see Ben earlier complaining about full English breakfasts (especially the beans) and the traffic in London? It was quite funny but maybe not a good way to gain any British fans

I didn’t, but it’s a bit rich for an American to be complaining about bad traffic or food.

I am prepared to accept culinary criticism from Italians.

Did anyone see the vlog Jannik made about one of his training days at Wimbledon. It was fairly dull, bless him, although it did feature him making a nice pasta meal for his team.

Ben’s serving well as usual, but making zero inroads on Jannik’s serve. Unless Jannik starts to have arm problems I can only see one outcome to this match.

Why do they keep showing the girlfriend. I mean she's pretty but I'm sure they don't usually show them quite so much

I’m waiting for Djokovic and Cobolli to start. Really annoying how I am watching the centre court stream on iplayer and it stops and tells me to switch to bbc2. So now for some reason I’m watching football news. I just refreshed it and it’s the tennis so I’ve missed the beginning! I started reading this article on oldest player ages and got very confused - then I realised it was written in 2013. I’m actually watching Sinner v Shelton even though I’m clicking the Cobolli v Djokovic button .

I’ve got Sinner/Shelton on two channels and the RB

On iPlayer there’s two streams that say Cobolli v Djokovic. The first one has BBC2 in front of it, which means you’re watching whatever they’re showing on BBC2 at the moment, which may be the match or may be people waffling on in the studio. If you scroll down there’s another stream for Cobolli v Djok which is just the stream from Centre Court and should show the actual match. This will also mean you don’t have to change stream when they move channels on the TV.

Basically - avoid any stream that says BBC in front of it and you should then just get the match you want undisturbed.

Why do they put the same match on the RB that’s on BBC2? 😠

I am just getting back home, appointment for dd2 ran far too long.
Sad for Mirra- but she is so young and talented I think she will have her chances, and she has won big titles this year, beating top names along the way.

They would have shown both matches on 1 and 2 if it wasn't for the football! Then i could have flicked between the two.

Apparently it’s the law that national matches have to be shown on BBC1 or ITV1

I was watching Andreeva v Bencic on the centre court stream and it turned off and told me to switch to bbc2. All glitchy.

I can only score watch the other match and Flavio keeps giving me anxiety attacks!

People do watch it now since England did so well in 2023, which is a good thing! Definitely younger people like school kids and teenagers do. People go to the women’s matches with their families as it’s a much more tame crowd. Just today I’d like to watch tennis on one court please BBC!
