Mirra is funny - about Conchita's final against Martina it was 'not too bad'.

I think they are great together- there is genuine affection from Conchita's side, but she's definitely a proper coach.
It's just nice to see.

I think Conchita’s got a tough job because she’s also acting ‘in loco parentis’ as well as being a coach. I know Mirra is 18 now so technically an adult but she’s been on the tour from a young age so Conchita (and the rest of the team) must have had to do a lot of looking after. I’m glad Mirra has someone like that looking out for her.

On the BBC sport website it says that Sonay Kartal is the smallest women’s tennis player - her and Jasmine are both 5ft 4 but apparently Jasmine is marginally taller (not sure how that works!)

I used to tell everyone I was 5 ft 4 and 3/4 but I don’t think anyone believed me!

Me too- I know Mirra had her moments in previous years (but she was very young) but I think she has grown up a lot, and is really maturing into a great player. Conchita just always looks so proud of her.

Dh likes to remind of this often. My mum, sister and gran all claim to be 4ft 11. The most definitely are not allthat .
