Me too @CrushingOnRubies .
I'm on the sofa right now.
I would like to see Cilic win, old favourite of mine. 😍

Same. And I can’t put my finger on why, which is frustrating me but I just can’t warm to Draper. I know he’s the British number one and everything but there’s something about him.

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 17:56

What! He can change his clothes but not allowed to have a wee? Confused

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:00

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 17:55

Oh I switched over to watch Cilic take the first set and now Machac is arguing about something? Not sure what’s going on

I still keep seeing people dressed as linespeople around the grounds - maybe they’re the emergency crew?

Yesterday one was getting the new balls out of the tube - it’s a big of a comedown from calling the lines but I suppose it keeps them busy

I think there was an issue with Tomas wanting to go off court, because he had already had an MTO.

I turned over, and now it looks like Machac has disappeared completely.

I think the locker room is quite a distance from this court though.

Nick is getting on my nerves though- he wouldn't be questioning MTOs and demanding a game penalty if it was Djok.

Oh, he's back-and seemingly in not much hurry.

I don't get any of it.

I think he is actually really injured.

Which should please Nick, since he claimed really injured players don't win matches tell that to Djok.

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:03

I don't think Tomas is going to last a whole set , which given how close he was to winning, is a real shame.

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 18:12

That would be a shame for Machac

Marin doesn’t seem to look any older

ChessieFL · 03/07/2025 18:13

Come on Jack! (Sorry Cilic lovers)

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:13

No, Marin never ages.

Holmgren has nice hair.

ChessieFL · 03/07/2025 18:14

Normal service appears to have resumed in Iga’s match.

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 18:17

That was a scoreline I wasn’t expecting from Marin

IceandIndigo · 03/07/2025 18:17

Wow, Marin is playing so well. Jack’s in trouble.

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:18

Yes, I think it was just a blip, Chessie.

JaneJeffer · 03/07/2025 18:26

Opelka is out

It would be great to see a Marin/Grigor final Grin (although think they are in the same side of the draw)

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 18:30

JaneJeffer · 03/07/2025 18:26

Opelka is out

That’s a relief - I was wondering how he was still in when so many good players have gone out

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:36

ooh- Seb Ofner is 2 sets to 1 up against TP. Can't stand TP. Come on Seb!

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:37

JaneJeffer · 03/07/2025 18:26

Opelka is out

What a shame.

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:44

Becoming a real struggle for Machac , this set.

CrushingOnRubies · 03/07/2025 18:47

Draper finally figured out how to deal with Cilic

Raahh · 03/07/2025 18:49

Ugh. . 10 point tie break. Come on Tomas (not that hopeful, to be honest).

heldinadream · 03/07/2025 18:59

I'm glad Jack got a set though. Don't like uneven matches.
Still think Marin will nail it.

Raahh · 03/07/2025 19:01

Shame for Tomas, especially after having match points. But the Danish fans continue to have someone to cheer for.

Fizzywinegum · 03/07/2025 19:03

Wow well done Holmgren! His Dad’s there and he’s crying 😢- he’s so happy that he’s won! Tough for Machac

Now back to Jack

Now back to Jack

He's 27, Holmgren, so he's not one of the 'young guns'. Up to this week, has earned just over $200,000 in prize money- he will get half as much as that again, just for going to the next round.

heldinadream · 03/07/2025 19:07

My picks for the title: Dimitrov, Monfils, Rinderknech, Cilic or Sinner.
Anyone but... Grin
