Life on Mars? Utterly, utterly fab . Lost (not that I've seen it but it's supposed to be good). Spooks is quite good. The Apprentice? Are you watching from abroad?

Nagapie · 20/05/2008 20:49

Damages

slayerette · 20/05/2008 20:58

House is a must. We're renting Bones through Amazon at the moment and enjoying that a lot. Have you been through the Buffy and Angel experience yet? - if not, try it! Never seen Prison Break but my sister raves about it.

schneebly · 20/05/2008 20:59

oh yes bones!

RustyBear · 20/05/2008 21:00

Scrubs
Buffy/Angel
Poirot
Black Books

geekgirl · 20/05/2008 21:01

oooh yes, get House - there's a box set of the first 3 series, we've just started on the second one.

Prison Break is fab too, especially the first season.

nancy75 · 20/05/2008 21:01

The Wire!!!! Yes - best thing Ever.

RustyBear · 20/05/2008 21:06

DD has been getting into CSI recently & is hinting about getting the DVDs as rewards for A levels.

I pointed out that getting into university was a reward for good A levels.....

LyraSilvertongue · 20/05/2008 21:07

Lost is great. Keep meaning to watch Prison Break.

PinkPussyCat · 20/05/2008 21:08

Oooh yes agree with Nagapie - Damages was great!

pinkspottywellies · 20/05/2008 21:10

I second Life on Mars.
Doctor Who.
I wished I watched Prison Break but missed the first one and didn't think I'd be able to get into it. Might get it for my birthday actually!

JulesJules · 20/05/2008 21:13

Life on Mars
House
Bones
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I never watched West Wing, but people rave about it, and there's lots of it...

JulesJules · 20/05/2008 21:15

Oh yes, agree about Black Books - fab. Also Spaced.

Habbibu · 20/05/2008 21:18

And if you will forgive apparent ponciness, there's a fantastic French crime series called Engrenages - just brilliant, even if you (like me) can only cope with subtitles.

we have just actually finished watching life on mars on virgin ONdemand and recommend it. We missed it when it was on TV but now DH is going on about buying ashes to ashes.

talilac · 20/05/2008 21:27

West Wing.

If you like Buffy/Angel then Firefly is great.

Smallville is good if thats your cuppa.

The OC, or One Tree Hill is better still.

If you like Lost, then the first 2 series of Alias are great. It goes a bit off the boil after that.

Spaced / Black Books / Father Ted for British comedy.

Other decent US stuff - Veronica Mars, 30 Rock, the Sopranos..

talilac · 20/05/2008 21:28

Oh, Greys Anatomy of course!

cupsoftea · 21/05/2008 09:28

Thanks for the fab ideas for what to watch next!!! Still thinking what I'll go for. So many great programmes to consider

I've started to watch dvds as I'd never get to watch a whole series on tv. Plus I like to see a few episodes in one go (if I can!!)
