I saw the first series on Sky before they fell out with Virgin - it's about a middle class Californian widow who turns to dealing cannabis to support her kids. I'm not even into drugs but I just found it quirkily entertaining.

You could try online rental and watch the first disc of series that you haven't seen to see how you go with it.

Other things I've caught up with on cable or and/or DVD and liked are The Secret Life of Us (1st series through Amazon rental as it's hard to buy, others are easier and cheaper) - about young Australians - and Cold Feet. And Absolutely Fabulous (I'm really slow to pick up on things I like). Teachers.

The West Wing is so fantastic! We are just about to start again from the beginning.

I think you can get it from LoveFilm too which would be really cheap.

Life on Mars (and if you like it Ashes to Ashes). State of Play, The State Within, A Very British Coup, House of Cards.

We are watching Bangkok Hilton at the moment for a trip down memory lane!
