‘You’ last season…

I just put this one and the first episode seems so boring and slow… anyone else started it yet?

I’m on episode 2 of season 5. I’m getting a bit cross with Joe’s vocal fry. A little bit is okay but this much is silly (and TERRIBLE for his vocal cords).

Actually Kate is doing it now. Why has the director not told them to cut it out a bit?

Oh my god, it has a name! It feels like nails on a chalkboard to me when anyone does it

I have no idea whether the actor can sing (I have a bad habit of assuming that actors are musical) but it will wreck his singing voice.

The first season was brilliant, then it just got more and more ridiculous!

I’ve been pondering this show. I think that season 1 worked so well because Joe had obviously projected all these marvellous qualities onto Beck because she was so good looking. She wasn’t all that deep (he described her friends as a problem but she wasn’t no better than they were), she didn’t write all that often and she was really quite pretentious. Joe considered himself a connoisseur of women but he overlooked all that because she was beautiful.

I don't like Bronte in this role. Loved her as Janine in the handmaids tale.

I also don't like Kate Lockwood at all and I really liked the actress in Ghosts.

The actress who played Brontë always seems to play a character who is hugely vulnerable in some way.

How in the holy heck did i not realise that that was Janine????

I agree though I absolutely love Janine ans I did not care for the Bronte character at all.

This made me laugh! I take it you watch Handmaids Tale so not sure how you wouldn't know. Maybe the lack of eye patch!!

I just finished the series and agree the ending worked. I felt his pain when Henry called him a monster. It's really unfathomable how both women survived.0

Side note but I don't find Joe or the actor who plays him that attractive. I mean he's obviously objectively okay looking but does nothing for me.
