What a great school it seems so far!

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:07

That baby is gorgeous!

Why can't ALL kids get that level of sex-education??
That 13 year old looks MUCH older!

I find it so hard to believe theese girls didnt know about sex and conception, they dont look stupid and who doesnt know your going to get pregnant havinf unprotected sex!?

TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:12

there was a girl in my school who carried on going to our upper school right up until the day she gave birth then did the work at home til she could come back 1 month later to sit for sats. Whats the point of having a school like this?

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:15

3 girls in DD's year (Yr 12) have had babies

OP posts:
TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:16

year 12? isnt that ages 16/17 though?

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:18

Yes, but bad enough.

I can't imagine how a child of 13/14 is supposed to be a mum

OP posts:
TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:20

i had mine at 16 but even i cringe when i see 13/14 year olds with children or pregnant. I feel like shouting at them and telling them about my life!

MissingMyHeels · 12/05/2008 21:20

The point is them continuing with education - they can't pay for childcare.

TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:25

Better than vodka? Am i the only one that is seeing a pattern with the mums and the daughters on this programme?

Lubyloo · 12/05/2008 21:28

What was she saying was better than vodka? I couldn't work it out!

TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:28

Are they actually telling teenagers your body was made for this?

that teenager very sensibly said yeah but not at this age age that midwife basically disagreed and said yes it is...

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:29

Will they be allowed home births?

The baby's head is magic!!

How sad, some of the questions they are asking. They are soo young.

TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:29

Lol the mum had the cofee in her bag and said "well its better than vodka isnt it"

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:34

I agree that the babies shouldn't be "ashamed" but do you think that if it were more "Shameful" for the Mums, they would be more careful?

OP posts:
TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:36

I think so yeah most young mums i see nowdays feel like the baby is an acssesory or a ticket into an exclusive group its just wrong. The ones that do it on purpose i have no idea whats going through there mind.

TheWiltedRose · 12/05/2008 21:39

She seemed very sensible and the first one ive heard mention breastfeeding!

Milliways · 12/05/2008 21:40

My friends DD wants to leave home, and has threatened to get pregnant just so she will get a flat!

I hope she's watching.
