Female Detective Series

I love a female detective series and wonder are there any I have missed.
Recommendations please?

Absolutely right. I liked it too.

Forgot Ellis, that was brilliant. Hope there will be another series.

Always thought Sharon D Clarke? should have been the female doctor who, she has gravitas and presence.

Karen Pirie and DI Ray were great watches, hoping for more.

It's more vigilante than detective and it can be a bit OTT at times but I've been enjoying the TV show version of The Equalizer with Queen Latifah as the lead.

Traces - although I didn't pay much attention to the storyline as it was filmed near me and I spent the whole show trying to spot places I knew.

And there's always Silent Witness. For being a forensic pathologist show they get awfully hands on with a lot of the investigations and seem to solve things before the police do. 😁

Another vote for Patience from me.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries?

If you like Miss Fisher's Murders then the Frankie Drake Mysteries are very similar. Same period but Canadian.

Much grittier is The Fall starring Gillian Anderson.

I'm watching Patience but the character is really annoying and detracts from the rest of the programme.
