Well it's been 18 years () since I looked in detail at university ratings, so has it got good since then (before clearly going downhill again)?

too tired to do link but have just checked ratings for universities, Oxford came first in UK and Edinburgh was 7th. Appeared to be 100+ universities on list so Edinburgh not too bad at all.

I'm still waiting for Lee to be the one who answers the phone at 6.30am just wearing his undies.....

Those two had to go. But really, how can anyone capable of tertiary education or even just getting onto the apprentice not be aware of what kosher means? Really that is unbelievable.

According to the Apprentice website Michael Sophocles has a MA (Hons) History and Classics, Edinburgh University.

An MA? And he's that dumb?? It can't be true! Could he be lying? Surely they check? He's SO SO stupid, how can he have an MA????? Or are MAs these days comparable to the O levels of my day!!!

Vanessa feltz layed into ginger jenny big time and said what a nasty bit of work and how dare she treat people like that and to be a successful business woman does not mean you have to be like that. It then went on to show her clips of her deserving a punch on the nose by saying 'be quiet I'm talking' on a dozen differnt occassions.

I think any grown adult in modern British society with a basic education ought to have known about the difference between halal and kosher, and understood the offence and disrespect implicit in passing meat off as kosher when it isn't. I tnink all of them should be bitterly ashamed of themselves in that respect. I suppose at least Michael did look thoroughly discomfited about the matter. The women didn't.

what is the difference between kosher and halal - ie how does the method differ?
